Thanks Lisa! I've added my book in the spreadsheet. I should finish it today.

35559 I checked the new task - X-rays. In The Assassin's Blade, the MC gets hurt and a healer takes care of the wounds. What do you all think? Is this good enough?

I'm good with replacing books even if claimed.. we will still be getting points. and who knows, maybe the book might work for another task.

I've also removed my name from another task.. I have to start The City of Brass (The Daevabad Trilogy, #1) by S.A. Chakraborty and then the King doorstopper. The book I had is also 600+ so it's doubtful if I can get to it soon.

I'm still reading but if you are done, please go ahead. The sooner we get new tasks, the better.

Looks pink to me too.

35559 Ok Lisa, then I'll claim it.. another chipmunk task will be completed. Thanks!

Edit: Updated in the spreadsheet. Claimed #4.

35559 In other news, if anybody is looking for a progression fantasy (i.e where the MC starts off as an underdog and slowly progresses), then I'd highly recommend Cradle series by Will Wight. It has an Asian(Japanese) aspect to it and it's good fun and adventure. The author has all his books free in Amazon from yesterday (1 more hour left). The series is almost complete - the last book is out soon. Not sponsored, but I really love this series. It has a Naruto feel to it (for me).

35559 @Shannon, glad you are getting better.

Belated Birthday Wishes Tone.

I just finished a book The Summer We Fell (The Summer, #1) by Elizabeth O'Roark and it has the MC committing adultery. Can we use it for the chipmunk task? I'm not sure if somebody is already reading for it and I already planned for 2 other tasks.

Yes, that’s good with me Suzanne.

I was surprised at Tineye's brown analysis. I thought it was more red too.

35559 Keli wrote: "It has good reviews. I hope it picks up for you."

Yeah, that's why I picked it. About 70% in and it's getting better. It's missing something that's nagging at me. I feel like I'm dropped in the middle which is normally ok because the world would be slowly revealed. But here, I feel like the characters are "reacting" correctly but I don't feel the connection. I don't understand the motivation.

35559 I'm reading Daughter of No Worlds (The War of Lost Hearts, #1) by Carissa Broadbent now but it's slow going. I'm a little confused and not fully invested. Hopefully it gets better soon.

35559 Yes, it makes complete sense Suzanne. I was worried because it is not nice if most of the difficult page range (500+) goes towards the chipmunk challenge.

I have a question - what happens if we don't meet the page ranges?

35559 Ohh 😭. The books I had are longer books.

35559 MN Lisa wrote: "I think in general we want to prioritize the Chipmunk books. We only get 10 tasks at a time and books will have to be read in order to see the next on the list."

So only if Task #1 is finished, then we get Task #11? Even if Task #5 is finished before that?

I have 2 books on hand that fits two tasks.. I have registered that on the spreadsheet. But I'm not the fastest reader...

35559 @Elinor: Lol, 2500 pages - that's too much. the number alone intimidates me.

@Tone, so glad to hear you enjoyed Scotland. And all the places too!

Thanks Suzanne. The book I just finished - Lessons in Chemistry - the MC hates her mother. She's a great mother herself. So I changed it from Rainbow Towers to Electra in the spreadsheet.
