GOAL:
Going from A - Z, and using authors’ first or last names, read the alphabet. For "X" and "Z" you may use authors with those hard to find letters in their names. Unless, of course, you're a ‘purist.’
Yes, you may use an author twice, once with their first name, and again with their last. In that case, you still need to read two different books.
Duration: January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023
You may read in any order, start at any time of the year. You may 'back date' to the 1st of January, if you desire.
* Please Note: There is another challenge that is "open-ended" (not yearly) that is posted here.

Have you noticed the longer you are active on Goodreads, the larger your “to-read” (TBR) shelf becomes?
How do you tackle it? In date order? Alphabetical? Or do you just ignore it and hope to get to the books “one day”?
Rules: For this challenge, you’ll use a randomiser* to randomly pick numbers. Use these corresponding numbers on your “to-read” shelf to challenge yourself to read those books.
❶ Step 1
Go to www.random.org/integers/ to get your random numbers. (Instructions under spoiler.)
(view spoiler)
❷ Step 2
Go to your “to-read” shelf and find the books that match your numbers on your shelf. They are your selected books! (Example continues under spoiler.)
(view spoiler)
*If you prefer not to use the randomiser, you may just choose random numbers yourself by rolling a dice, picking a number out of a hat, just choosing a number in your mind - up to you!!
Duration: One year from start date. (Though to keep with the original challenge each book selected should be read within one month. )
Levels:
Headlock: 1-8 books.
Coathanger: 9-17 books.
Spear Tackle: 18-26 books.
No Suspension: 27 + books
Help in Assigning Numbers to Your Books - (Screen under spoiler.)
