I went to one in September and loved it. The minion was all crazy doing the slides and whatnots. She also loved the action factory part. My only regret was to not reserve enough days to explore everything they had to offer - because I had themed parks and other stuff to visit.

You can continue it on whenever you get it. It's the read date that determines the round when it's going to be used.

Books finished today count for round #2. Books finished in two weeks, count for round #3.

35559 I just read Ilona Andrews newsletter and I'm in excited mode. Because they just announced that the next book to be written (written not the wip) it's going to be iron and magic 2.

You have no idea extatic I am with this piece of news. I might need to behave and everything because of how important that is.

35559 They are quite cheesy, but I listened to the first one, and the narrator was not that bad...she even talked with a lisp when her fangs appeared. However, the MC is a bit annoying. And we can't do anything about that.

They are quick reads... at least that. LOL.

35559 Okay, so, I checked my shelves and got some suggestions

Fantasy
Uprooted by Naomi Novik

Urban Fantasy
Unhidden (The Gatekeeper Chronicles, #1) by Dina Given
Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #1) by Stacia Kane Unholy Magic (Downside Ghosts, #2) by Stacia Kane - I love this series, but the MC was a victim of abuse during her teens which eventually lead to substance abuse, so, if that's too dark for you, better stay away
Urban Shaman (Walker Papers, #1) by C.E. Murphy
Unclean Spirits (The Black Sun's Daughter, #1) by M.L.N. Hanover
The Unleashing (Call of Crows, #1) by Shelly Laurenston

chick-lit
The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella
Undead and Unwed (Undead, #1) by MaryJanice Davidson - paranormal humor, Undead series

sci-fi/distopia
Unwind (Unwind, #1) by Neal Shusterman - unwind series
Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1) by Veronica Rossi

MM Romance
Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Klune - it was a previous BOM at this group
I have a few more on this genre, for example, the Unbreakable Bonds series by Jocelynn Drake. And it wouldn't be a challenge if I didn't suggested Ty&Zane. The first 4 books from the Cut & Run series are by Abigail Roux and Madeleine Urban.
Until His Last Goodbye (Scythe #1) by Kiki Clark
Unraveling the Threads of Fate by Alice Winters

35559 Oh, regarding Madid. I went there in December and loved it. The city gets all decked for Christmas, and nobody minds the cold. So cool.

I wanted to go to Prague during the Portuguese holidays at the beginning of December and visit the Christmas Market, but prices are too crazy at the moment. And with the impending war scenario in Israel the rest of the world is also on high alert, because past actions are too fresh in memory, so, yeah. I'm going to do a work trip to Amsterdam next month, and that's it.

35559 True. Paris is a little too hot for my taste. Seriously, 14 airports evacuated due to bomb calls, even if fake.

I was planning on going there in June... but... will also wait a couple of months to start with reservations. I might not be happy with prices and plane fares in doing that, or if we have to delay it again - specially because my niece will turn 12 this year, and we wanted to go before she stops being considered a child, but... I still remember the issues with cars getting burned and whatnot some years ago. And safety is more important.

Would a Title starting with the article "The" fit the suggestion?"

Titles starting with The are awesome, because they can be used for the T, or whatever letter the second word starts with.

In this case, you can opt for the T, or to ignore the The altogether and use it for W.

35559 @Barbara: I heard that Malaga & Marbella are really pretty. Everybody told me to try to visit when I went to Sevilha some years ago, but, our plan was to take the kid to Isla Magica. And we were already pushing it driving there with a somewhat hyperactive 7 y.o. at the time.

It's like when we went to PortAventura last year. I had all intentions on visiting Barcelona. Unless you count the airport, it never happens.

This year we managed to visit besides the theme parks, BUT, it was also planned/scheduled.

Next year we are thinking disneyland paris, but we already decided not to think about Paris at all. Instead of trying to fit all in one week, we're splitting it in two trips. That way, no regrets at all. Plus, I really want to check a full restored NotreDame, and that will not be next year for sure.

35559 Hey all, I'm in a sprint retrospective meeting, and I simple had to come here and share one of the positive points.

Jenny specially will agree with this one:

"The amount of cats on meeting calls is excellent"

I have two. One of the devs also has two. The scrum master has a 5 month old kitten. The Tech lead also has 2.

So. Any given meeting, there is always one of more cats making an appearance.

35559 Speaking of sparkling, on my trip to the Netherlands I discovered they had sparkling ice tea. SPARKLING. And for some reason, it was lipton lemon, but it had apple extract. It also had an appleish after taste.

Weird thing I tasted lately..

And in case you think I am crazy

if it was lemon, it was sparkling. Peach wasn't sparling, but it was also not by lipton

35559 Alrighty...so.

- Depends. If plain, sparkling, if flavored, flat.
- plain
- socks
- Never had one or the other, so, no clue
- We don't celebrate much halloween. But I buy candy I like, so I can have it too.
- Both.

35559 I never played Zelda. I wanted to, but it was a darn nintendo exclusive. When towers ended, Eni wanted a game. We ended up getting PS Plus Premium or whatever the tier name is, because it was at a very good price, and I love all the vintage games access it allows. It is perfect for me, because I tend to not to finish a game before moving out to another.

It also allowed for a lot of mother-daughter playing moments, so, that's always a win on my book.

35559 Barbara wrote: "Hello everyone! My favorite thing to do on a Sunday is to read a few chapters and play video games! Is anyone into gaming here? I am a Nintendo kiddo who bought a Switch a few months ago!"

Not a very good player, but we were a PlayStation household growing up - sorrynotsorry.

Eni got a wii, when the wii fit was popular, and we also have the nintendo switch. Which is a really house favorite. Specially with the minion.

We got lucky, and PS5 was finally coming to stores a week before Hogwarts Legacy was released. So. Yeah. I took an editorial decision and got it. And the pre-sale of the game.

Eni already finished the game, with all bells and whistles. The minion has a lot of fun playing an hour or so during the weekends... And I need to get back to it, since I pretty much stopped playing with tower teams.

I just realized this is team Punk, so, most of you don't know who Eni is. She's my sister. She has a 11 y.o daughter - aka the minion, because she was really into the minions when she was a toddler, and a small child and... yeah, it was her movie - and we live together. She's also playing this round - she's with Vicky on team Hip Hop.

Ooohhhh I love overcooked!!! Never tried Mario Kart - Eni says it destroy families every time I mention it. Maybe she hasn't realized I wanted to buy it. Anyway, I also have Moving Out! That is clearly made for Overcooked fans. I still prefer Overcooked though. I got the bundle version, and "The Night of the Living Bread" intro always makes me giggle.
