I've noticed that several of my books are showing up on the Page Override sheet. Is there anything I should be doing so it doesn't happen that often?
I have started on my book for leg 3 of heat 2, I should have it done tomorrow evening at the latest.I have shelved The Bourbon Thief, a book that was started during and finished after the end of Battleship. After that, I'm pretty open to whatever needs to be read, really. I just don't want to commit to reading sprints, as my routine doesn't really allow them.
Sorry if this has been answered before, but I was away from my computer the whole day (I'm doing a MBA in Book Publishing):I'm about to finish a book that I started on June 30. That is, before the end of Battleship. Can/Should I shelve it on my challenge shelf?
I'm just worried about the timing of the whole thing. I'll only be able to start the book on Sunday (July 3) and I should have it finished by Monday (July 4). I don't want to be the one holding the team back from the other games.
Going by the team's spreadsheet, I'd say that the 1st heat should be done by (based on books read for Battleship):- Judith
- Cathy
- Beth
- Amy
- Erin
- Shanna
I know this weekend is a holiday in the US, so I have no idea whether or not they would be able to read that fast. I know I have to read Even When You Lie to Me starting next Monday, and yes, I realize it's not an easy title to work with for a relay.
Also, weekends are pretty slow for me, reading-wise, so I don't feel comfortable committing to having a book done by Sunday.
For me it's the opposite, actually.I can barely touch my Kindle during the weekends, especially now I've started a MBA two hours away from me.
That was an amazing round!I should finish a book tonight, which can go toward romance and humor.
For those that use Goodreads from the phone, and are having issues shelving things, perhaps using the browser instead of the app would work better? (It's what I've been doing, as I've been without internet access at home for 10 days now, the horror!)
