I agree, Laura, there are some similarities. But some real differences too. The mystery of what happened to Kristen is keeping me reading. What do you think of Paul?

Read through chapter 22. (view spoiler)[ Paul does seem like a sympathetic character. And Izzy seems to be falling for him. Not sure if that is a good thing. But at least Izzy isn’t quite a mess anymore. I was getting tired of her crying over Josh!

I read the first 11 chapters. The mystery is interesting.(view spoiler)[ I want to know what happened to Kristin. The police suspect domestic abuse. But I think that was possibly something Kristin did to make Paul look guilty.

Poor Izzy! LOL I am finding her character a little annoying. And her sister Penny seems a bit self centered and unaware.

I am surprised we aren’t getting any flashbacks of the night they got together. I feel like something is missing without that. I am not getting to know Kristin at all as well. (hide spoiler)]

I agree, Lexi with all your points! (view spoiler)[ The characters were too shallow in my opinion. They did not come to life for me. I did not like the relationship between Stevie and David. And the ending was terrible. I agree a book needs some closure, even if it is a series! (hide spoiler)]

I finished too! The book description said this would be like an Agatha Christie novel, but this was nothing like an Agatha Christie book, in my opinion. The characters were a little too superficial for me too. I wish they were better written. (view spoiler)[ The ending was terrible! I hate cliffhangers! LOL I don’t think Ellie actually killed Hayes. I don’t think the murder has been solved at all. Too many questions left like why would someone want Dottie dead?? And why did they kidnap Iris and Alice? This book doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. Elen, I read through chapter 26 last night. Interesting theories about David and Dottie! (view spoiler)[ what do you think about David and Stevie’s relationship? I did not expect them to be attracted to each other. For some reason, their relationship isn’t really working for me. David said his parents are dead. Somehow I don’t think we know everything yet.

Hayes was a real user! He likely made plenty of people angry. And now it does look like he was murdered. If he did not put the dry ice there, who did? (hide spoiler)]

I finished chapter 14 so far. It’s getting more interesting. I like getting to know the characters better. They each have different talents and backgrounds. I agree, Elen, that the school is unique. It would be great if a school like this existed. (view spoiler)[ Stevie is suspicious of David Eastman. I do wonder if he will have anything to do with the mystery. Stevie suspects that someone in the present had something to do with the murder and disappearance from the past. I think that there may be a connection too.

The messages sent by Truly Devious are driving me crazy! LOL I can’t figure out what they mean. Dottie underlined a sentence before she died. I wrote it down but it’s driving me nuts figuring out why she made note of it. “Sherlock said “I consider that a man’s brain originally is like a little empty attic and you have to stock it with such furniture as you choose.” (hide spoiler)]
