i think that if using green makes it a sin bingo and tineye says green then we should probably call it green. looking at it it is kind of somewhere in the middle but since tineye backs green and it is more advantageous points-wise then i would vote for that.
i don't really think we should move books that work for color cover to the mini challenge because it doesn't really work out points-wise but that's just my opinionand i agree that some stuff on the worst reads list i'm like really??? i mean i could see not loving some of them but to me worst is a bit much lol
well you get 2 points per book and then 14 points for each set [for the story mini challenge] so ...i guess if we had a bunch of books that only worked for the 3rd tier criteria and were otherwise going to be worth only 1 point each then it would be worth it, but yeah that one didn't seem especially good to me either.the one from the terrible reads thread next week sounds good since they're worth 5 points each, but still the same as cover color if you're reading for that anyway. i see a few books on there that are on my tbr so i will check out the first chapters and see how they go.
the bingo one coming up could be interesting since they're worth 5 points each and then you get some bonus points as well. i guess it depends on what the cards looks like when we see them.
i'll be honest though, i'm just like barely holding on here in terms of keeping myself reading for this challenge at all and it seems like at this time in the year a lot of us are feeling the same way. so if we are trying to do a mini challenge and i have something that will help i'll try to read it [definitely read some things for the animals thing i might not have otherwise lol], but right now i'm kind of in the 'read anything that i can actually get through more than one chapter of' boat so that's what i'm doing for the most part.
i really liked the coldest girl in coldtown. almost didn't read it because it had so many bad reviews but glad i did

@Mary is there any audio book version of it? if the audio is more than 3 hours then they might let you use it
i usually do 1.5 although sometimes do 1.75 or 2 if the narrator seems especially slow or if it's a book i've read before. some british narrators i have to slow down to 1.25 because it seems they speak faster on the whole, but i agree listening at normal speed always seems very slow.
when i do it on my computer it comes out50.0% Jet Stream (Green)
13.9% Ming (Green)
2.0% Killarney (Green)
and no blue whatsoever. i agree it looks blue to the eye but if tineye gives majority green then i would go with it lol

i do hope she's going to say 'zombie super powers activate' for the big showdown in all the books because like it's dumb but it's also hilariousagree that i totally don't trust pietro and am interested to see where all that goes.
not sure really why her turning the second guy didn't work. it would have made sense if it was 'too soon' but then the first guy turned made several other zombies right away ...although they were messed up and that might have just been because of the fake brains?
whenever they shot the guy in front on her and she was like OH I HAVE TO SAVE HIM! i was like lmao girl, i get that being nice is like one of your things but you totally don't. yeah he's dying but he literally signed up to become a zombie so that he can go ~kill people for america~ so i would have no problem sitting there and letting him die rather than turning him. but maybe i'm just an awful person. i mean maybe it would be different if he was a random dude they pulled off the street but he knew and he volunteered and he did it particularly to become a ~super soldier~ soooo not much sympathy from me.

also i did end up liking this one a bit more than the last one and gave it a technical 3.5 but rounded up to a 4. i think the pacing was much better and i was actually invested in finding out who was behind what was going on

@Claudia god it's so good and it fucking tricks you! like oh here's a series of unrelated little creepypastas this is fun OH NO IT WAS ATTACHED ALL ALONG AND ALL MY CHILDREN ARE IN DANGER. seriously impressive though, i usually think horror short stories are absolutely awful and the dude has basically written 160 of them and they're all good. every episode has the 'statement' that is the main part of the episode and then there's the real-time character development that comes before and after it kind of as 'notes' to it. last season starts in april so now is probably a good time to get started if you're gonna be a normal person and NOT listen to the whole thing in a month lol@Cathy i guess it depends on what you want? lucifer is my favorite series and it's definitely good as an urban fantasy story that weaves a LOT of world religions and mythologies together. the crow is my favorite standalone and that's more like urban fantasy/horror i guess. but i mean there's all kinds of stuff. like if you wanted something that is lighter lumberjanes is really good or for contemporary giant days is good.

no it's a horror podcast and i listened to all 160 episodes that are out so far in the past month and also am WAY too attached to the main character and of course everything is horrible for him so i'm just like aaaaaaah what do i doooo. also now it's on hiatus until april so ...that's great loli was going to try the chestnut man but it not really my usual thing anyway and i definitely don't think i can do it now lol
do you guys read graphic novels? i usually reread the lucifer graphic novels every year / every other year and i haven't done it yet this year so i was thinking i might once towers is over.
