Karen, We're really lucky here in Lane Cove LGA. Our library is doing order on line and home delivery. For $2.00 a book and 50c delivery. So I therefore got a copy of the book. 💖

I really enjoy family sagas and this one goes for 7 volumes. Sadly the author died this year, but apparently her son is finishing the final one in the series. It's long but easy reading (very conversational, not pages of description) and I got quite engrossed in the story.
There is a bit in Lake Geneva, but most of it is set in Rio and Paris.
Wow, Swiss schooling, Sally, a bit of change from Darwin.

Namita, the detour was one of the Scottish Female Names in the top 100 so you might like to change your book.

I've got one more to add
before the end. I should have it finished in about 8 hours. The only good thing about covid lockdown.
