I just saw your post. Let me reconfigure what I proposed.

I can't remember - can we ignore articles for these?

35559 Possible:

Top - Witch King
Right - Grave Visions

Left - Starts with W

Bottom - Starts with ?; ends with S

Top - Murder with Cinnamon Scones
Left - Midnight Strikes

Right - Starts with S

Bottom - Starts with S
(Ending letter of Right & Bottom would need to match)

35559 New Tasks!

Tower Teams 3: Save Christmas
Read 4 books with title start and end letters that connect to make a square (well, quadrilateral)

The top and bottom titles should be read left to right; the left and right titles downwards. (i.e. first letter of top title is same as first letter of left title. first letter of bottom title is same as last letter of left title.

35559 I’ve got a few hours left in my badger book, so new tasks tonight. The chipmunk one may take until tomorrow. May be done tonight, also.

35559 @Benita - I noticed you added Othello to the spreadsheet. Because it is MPG Plays, I ran it through arbookfind.com. It, unfortunately, only has 28,048 words. The minimum for this challenge is 30,000 if it has MPG Childrens / Kids / Poetry / Play / Graphic Novel / Illustrated / Photography / Art

35559 No. Just wanted to let you know that there’s another opening in the 600+ page tower.

35559 @Benita - regarding A Twist in Time. The edition you linked on the spreadsheet is a Large Print Edition. When that is the edition read, we have to use the default edition page count. The Hardcover default edition is what you have on your Tower Shelf, anyway. So I'll have to change that one from 600+ to 4-499 pages. Bummer!

35559 I hope it’s better than Heart of Darkness was!

35559 I know! It’s because there are less than 40 books on Goodreads that fit that task!

I found Mr. Pip from cloud Library and Hoopla in audio, if anyone is interested.

35559 Lory, apparently a similar question was asked in the Q&A before. Your Heron’s Cove book is fine.

35559 We’re actually good on the 400s. Only a few more to complete those. So if you finish it, we can slot it in for aliens.

35559 New Tasks

We got Sith again!
Read a book with title starts with one of the letters SITH (all words count, inc A, An, The)
Read a book tagged Post-Colonial at least 10 times
Read a book featuring aliens
Read a book featuring a rebellion

Stacey, did you finish your Alien book before?

Fourth Wing works for the Rebellion task, but it's also in that 500 page range that we really need books for! My current audio works for the rebellion task, if no one else has anything. Otherwise, it's down for an I in the spell-out.

I've got an audio for Mister Pip. It will take me a few days to get to it, so if someone comes up with a Post-Colonial book before then, great!

35559 @Benita - Can you please put a read date on A Twist in Time? Thanks!

35559 Lory wrote: "Just to double check, it's ok if it is Heron's Cove in the text for the work heron? Or does the capitalization and 's cause a problem?

I just want to make sure before I read it!"

The task says, "Read a book with the animal "heron" in the text". So I'm not sure the name of the town is enough. Although the town would have been named after the bird. So maybe?

Tammie, what do you think?

35559 Just a quick shout out to remind you all that we have more words available in the spell-out, but since we only get credit for completed words, we don't want to open up new words until the current words are nearly filled. We are getting close to the end of the challenge!

So, if you are having a difficult time finding a letter for your book, just post here and Tammie or I can open up a new word to start.

Another point - does everyone realize that we are still in first place? Go Team Ti! There are less than 1,000 points separating the top 3 teams, so keep up the great reading!

I put it down for a Christmas book.

35559 @Benita - I know you're switching focus to the longer books, but are you still planning to read Apple Cider Slaying? If so, it's set at Christmas and we can fit it in to that Wheel task.

I need to read a book for Berit's Picnic Exchange before tomorrow, so I won't have my Chipmunk book done until tomorrow. So no rush on that one. :)

35559 Lindsay, are you still good to read Illuminae for the Gryffindor task?

I can still do my Badger book for Hufflepuff.
