@Jackie - can you please put Eve of Darkness on your Tower shelf? Thanks!

I just wanted to say that I have started all of the books that I have down on the spreadsheet for New Zealand (different formats, so my brain is okay switching between them). Two of them should be finished by tomorrow morning. However, The Count of Monte Cristo is a 52 hour audio. I am about halfway through, so I have about 14 hours left (I listen at 2x speed). So if anyone has a MPG Adventure book, feel free to replace Monte Cristo. Maybe we could get France next and use it for the French author. :)

I’m already on a 4 person team for that one.

I requested the audio from the library, but it estimates the wait is 10 weeks.

For the geisha task, here's what other teams have done:
Belem Tower, Icono Tower:
Memoirs of a GeishaLotus Tower:
AuditionEmpire State Building:
Geisha, a LifeEiffel Tower:
The elegance of a geishaThree Pagodas:

Ashley wrote: "Finished My Friends and stuck it in the Countries mini, to finish a set, but feel free to move it if you'd rather!"I'll take a look, but I'll probably move it because I think it was an easy country, so it'll get more points elsewhere.
ETA: It works for the cover colors task for New Zealand!

And now we're going to Japan, as well!

We're going to New Zealand next! It looks like we have a few difficult tasks in here. I can take a look at other teams' spreadsheets later tonight and see if they have any ides. I know there are lots of hikes in
All Rhodes Lead Here, if anyone enjoys Mariana Zapata books.

Priya wrote: "I am currently reading James which definitely has a river on the cover https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2..."That looks like it will work!
Aiswrya wrote: "Yeah, I suspect that might be too much of a stretch for a cover task. Let’s plan to have a back up just in case."That's what the other captains have said.
Priya wrote: "It is about a farming community that depends on the river and there is a lot of talk about it throughout the book."Priya wrote: "The book revolves around the Red River. That is a representation of the river on the cover from what I understand."Let me see if that's enough for the mods.

@Priya - I don't really see a river on this cover:
. Is there something about the book that leads you to seeing a river? I think the mods are looking to see water/waves.
Priya wrote: "@Laura - My current book has a mention of 'meatball' but it is only 184 pages. I can log it if needed."I'm good to finish mine, probably tomorrow. It's nearly 700 pages, so I'll be logging it for sure.

At Priya - the spreadsheet shows a read date for The Takeout of July 17, but your Goodreads shelf shows July 18. Which is correct?
Priya wrote: "I'm reading a lot of books I have had on my Kindle for years because of this mini where we need to find words in the text!"I love that you can search your kindle for words in text!

I only have one country task left, and that one is a short audio. So I'll put my book in for the Meatball task.
Anyone have a book with snow on the cover? That's all that's left unclaimed for Sweden.

I just did a search on my Kindle. I have meatball in 32 books. And one of them is a KU book I already have on the spreadsheet. I’ll take the task if no one else has it before I finish my other claimed tasks.
Aiswrya wrote: "@Laura - what did you think about the things we water?"I really enjoyed it. Not as much as I like her contemporaries, but better than When Gracie Met the Grump.

@Jacqueline - can you add The Reckoning to your Tower shelf, please? Thanks!
