I have much the same issues...

🤣

Thank you, Sammy! :)

For next year, I have decided to launch a big exercise and hunt and gather all the books I have on my various TBR shelves/lists/etc and add them all here, bloating the numbers even more.
Obviously it'll mess up my when-have-I-added-them dates even more, but I've been very inconsistent with them anyway, so it doesn't much matter.

35559 Also, with this book I'm done with the challenge for this year.

My original goal was 30, so reaching 50 makes me feel good.

Has it reduced my TBR pile? Hell, NO!!! 🤭

I started off with 127 books at the beginning of the year and have exactly the same number now. 🤣🤣🤣

35559 #50 Recipe for Persuasion (The Rajes, #2) by Sonali Dev - 3 stars

A Jane Austen "retelling" it isn't, but I did not expect it after book #1 in this series. I expected the over-the-topness, but the excess went beyond even book 1. It was gilding the lily to the death approach: very theatrical, overmelodramatic and way too much and yet it wasn't bad, just not my style.

35559 I have claimed orange cover and character works in finance, but shout out if you have books that may work only for those. :)

35559 Thank you, Lisa. We have a better chance of finishing the Admin mini first.
My Bangladesh/Turkey books are both doorstoppers, so I won't be able to finish them before the w/e, unfortunately.

35559 Elisabeth the admin mini (FILING) uses the quilt/coffee table bonus, so this should be good.

35559 I've been contemplating buying the audio as an accompaniement, to bridge over the bits when I'm not able to do the kindle-reading, so you jyst made another strong case of it :D

35559 Cat,

I bought the Istanbul book b/c I saw your rating and review. I'm at 15% and it's fantastic: I absolutely love it! :)

The kindle edition being over 1000 pages is a plus. :D

PRECISELY!! 🤭

I have found another set-in-Spain book, just don't know when I can get to it as it's a shortie!

35559 Concerning my Bangladesh book, I decided to go with the fiction one in the end.
The non-fiction The Blood Telegram: Nixon, Kissinger, and a Forgotten Genocide is super interesting and it stays on my TBR, but the topic is just too tough for me to deal with right now.

The long and the short of it is that I have put it down originally to a G, but with the switch I can cover an I instead. So if someone has a book that works for G, you can claim it. :)

35559 Teamies,

we really smashed it this round, fantastic reading!!! 🥰🥳

I've never been on a #1 team before, though I'm very happy with 2x 3rd (Tower Teams: Teams Sloth and District 7) and 2x 2nd (Wheels: Teams Orient Express & Cher) places of previous teams. 🥰 .

A16 mini task was already claimed & finished, so I added it for the trellis-building sequence.
