There's an audiblecom 80% sale going on.
Have I just bought several books? Yes, of course I have!
I couldn't resist Daunderlust: Dispatches from Unreported Scotland b/c of Sammy - it was 3 USD foreffssake ..... among other books.
Also bought the Scalzi-Christmas b/c of Sammy, obviously. 😆🥰

Sooooo, technically, this hasn't been a new read. I read it in Hungarian (and liked it a lot, though didn't remember much else, besides the obvious storyline) more than 30 years ago as it was part of the school curriculum and it happily coincided with my mad-about-mythology phase.
But for the last 10 years or so I kept telling myself that I should really reread it and see how I matured, etc.
Then ever since Sammy acquired this
I also consulted Sammy on EN translations and she suggested Robert Fagels. I checked Audible and it said the Fagels translation is narrated by
Anyhow: loved the translation, the narration even more so. 5 stars
And I'm totally going to reread to The Illiad as well, narrated by Dan Stevens. 😆

Thanks for the heads-up, Lori! :)

The book I finished this AM is signed up for 'KEBAB'..."
I think going to the market may be trickier, so let's go with that, please. :))
If someone else comes across a market in their books, we can still change it back.

You are lucky, Sophie has a forgiving nature when it comes to Teamies being enthusiastic and claiming tasks. 🤭
But Fiona and I are equally relaxed about it. 😊 If you finish a book that works for a task we claimed, just let us know here and we'll do the swaps.

We may be able to use it for an upcoming Mini 2 task or a cheese spell-out. :))
And page count is what matters most when all is said and done. :)

As you are reading your books and in case you come across someone going to the market, please take note, as that is the only unclaimed task for TURKEY.
Thanks. 😊

It's hightime for a Discworld re-read. Even though this is not a special favourite, I still like it because Moist and trains. :))
