35559 Have we decided that we are each going to take a task for Group 2? Erin doesn't have anything listed at the moment, but I can take two of them if needed.

35559 I have a Kindle Unlimited shelf. I use Scribd as well. I moved a little over a year ago and went from a community with limited ebooks and audiobooks to one that has a dedicated online/digital librarian. So I’ve rediscovered how wonderful it is to have a community that funds and supports all kinds of arts, including literature.

35559 I finished The Old Man and The Sea. I put it into the spreadsheet linked in Message 2. That's the official one, right??

100 pages, or 25,001+ word count.

Copy-Pasting here from Rules:

BOOK REQUIREMENTS

Books must be 100 pages or more in length. (unless..."

Okay. Just wanted to make sure there wasn’t something somewhere else. Cutthroat will forever cause me to doubt.

35559 Word count for this is 25,000, not 30,000?

35559 I actually put together a spreadsheet this time. I’m usually more relaxed when it comes to book choosing in challenges, but since there are only four of us I wanted to make sure everyone could see what it like normally just be planning in my head. I use my TBR list more as a “hey remember this book exists and you thought you might like to read it someday” sorting by length doesn’t do much for me. It would be fantastic if Amazon had in-depth sort functions for alphabetical order and length.

35559 This is the first time I’ve been on a team even remotely close to winning. Well done everyone!

Safe Zone 2 is the 4 additional tasks. No specific lengths other than trying to finish together :)"

Okay. Group 2. No problem.

Yeah, I'll have no problem finding a short one. Its just Spell-It-Out right? Or does each one need to be a specific length? And how many have to be BOMs. I forget what category we are.

35559 I should have no problem finishing Fall of Giants.

35559 With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo So I found this, which has a L-A-V-A author, but I'm not sure if the word FIRE in the title will count as something hot?????

35559 I plan on taking my laptop and hiding on Monday and Tuesday so that I can listen to my book without being interrupted every ten minutes, which means I will actually get something done at work too. I can listen to audio books all day if I want, I just have to hit pause a lot.

35559 Do we have a spread sheet we are claiming tasks on? I think I only have the official one saved.

I should be able to knock it out in 3.5ish hours or less if I read it at “timed challenge” speed. I’m normally more leisurely with my pace because I end up googling stuff, but have no problem doubling the pace when needed.

35559 Yes, I volunteered for Lolita. Other than that I have no preference. I enjoy the hunt.

35559 Because I work for a British company, everything is Day-month-year. I've just gotten so used to writing the date as 6 Aug 19 and am asked to cross it out and write it 'correctly for at the post office or bank. Unnecessary.
