I will not be able to get a copy of this one unfortunately :("
I already read this book.
Finished The Gunslinger. Even though I love Mr. King and his books this was not my cup of tea. Too abstract for me, reminds me of poetry.

Day One Questions -1. I love the first line of this book, “The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.” What do you think? Did it draw you in right away? Do you think it sets the tone for the book?
--- I really didn't think too much about it. I got the sense that there is a quest going on but knowing Mr. King it may get symbolic of something else. It made me curious to see what is going on.
2. Why do you think the Gunslinger is chasing he man in black? Will he catch him? What will he do if / when he does?
--- It seems like the man in Black should be chasing the gunslinger. That will be some standoff.
3. What do you think of the world building or the world the story is set in? I find it interesting that there are so many differences and yet some similarities to our world, like the singing of “Hey Jude.” It feels a bit like our world has seeped into theirs.
--- I feel that it is an abstract world, maybe a dream.
4. What or who do you think the man in black is? He certainly seems to have some special powers, but with evil undertones. Any ideas yet?
--- He may turn out to be the good guy. No ideas.
5. Why do you think the townsfolk were so anti-gunslinger? Was it just because of what he represents as a gunslinger, because he’s a stranger, or because of the man in black? Some other reason?
--- Maybe they are protecting the man in Black.
6. What do you think of what happened in Tull? Was there another way for the gunslinger to leave the town without the destruction that occurred or do you think it was necessary or predestined? When Brown asked him if he felt bad about it, the gunslinger said, “Why would I feel bad?” Do you think that’s just because of his training or maybe he believed there was no other way or maybe he just lacks empathy for the death of others?
--- The Gunslinger does what he has to do regardless of the consequences as he is on a mission.
I don't really like it so far. I thought it would be more interesting based on the book blurb.

Cecily wrote: "Yayyyyy!! I have no idea if I will get mine on time :)"that BOM finishes 06/30/17 a little over a week. I got it pretty fast, was not sure I was going to get it on time. Trying to finish off my 2 books for this week and then plan to tackle that.
There are only 3 days of questions assigned.

God Bless her,
It's like I can't read more than 2 books per week. Even though I am reading every day. Since my co worker still isn't talking to me I've been able to read more on the job 😂😂😂
GM all. It's just that when I sign up for one another comes along that sounds so good I can't resist. Then sometimes I can't even find one group challenge that catches my eye. I find that teams challenge me to read books I have stored on my kindle that I probably wouldnt get around to.
Hi guys it is so hot here is New York. it has been in the 90s the last 2 days. Did I tell you I hate sweating and feeling sticky. YUCK.I think i have 2 more weeks for my other team challenge before we get eliminated. I should not sign up for so many team challenges that dictate what kind of book I need to read. On another note I hope the mods host a WOBBLE again this year really enjoyed that.
Hope you guys are having a good week. I am trying to be more chatty and engaging in my groups.
