35559 Yay, my book is showing up on the spreadsheet now. I checked a few times yesterday and it wasn't showing on it, even though it was on my shelf, the dates were right etc. At least it's ok now.

I've been so slow, just finished my 1st book today. But it was a chunky one, just under 700 pages

35559 I've a few in mind. I think I should finish my current book by then. It'll just be a case of deciding which one I want to start next. Decisions decisions.... it can be hard.

Have you ever read The Queen of Subtleties: A Novel of Anne Boleyn

Yes, I read it back in 2012. I gave it 3 stars. I did like it, but just not quite as much as some of the books I'd already given 4 stars to. The book of hers that I enjoyed most was The Confession of Katherine Howard

35559 1. What are your favorite book genres to read? What do you least like to read?
Top of my list is crime/thriller. Including Nordic crime, I enjoy those books. But I also read chick lit, paranormal/fantasy, historical fiction (mostly set in the Tudor period) and I like classics e.g. Austen, Dickens, the Brontes.
I don't tend to read sci-fi or westerns

2. What are 5 of your favorite books?
No chance of me narrowing it down to 5! I'll go for authors...
Yrsa Sigurðardóttir
Alex Gray
Karen Rose
Chris Carter
Tania Carver

3. What was your favorite book as a child?
I loved Enid Blyton books & read them a LOT

4. What's your favorite kind of reading challenge?
I've always enjoyed these ones, and the wheelathons. Oh and battleships!

5. Favorite color?
This is an easy one - blue! Closely followed by purple and black.

6. You can only have one dessert for the rest of your life. What is it?
So long as it includes chocolate I'll be happy

7. What are your favorite TV shows?
Criminal Minds. I loved all the CSI series' when they were on. I've recently started watching The Blacklist. Other favourites are The Vampire Diaries, Outlander, Game Of Thrones, Once Upon A Time...

8. What's your preference: ebook or hardback/paperback?
Paperback. I only gave in to getting a Kindle when I was going to America 2 years ago to save space & weight in my luggage. I prefer the look, smell and feel of a real book, and paperbacks are just a bit easier than hardback.

9. Do you have any specific goal(s) for this challenge?
Not really... just to enjoy it and read as much as possible!

10. You are given a chance to tell one distinguishing fact about yourself. What is it?
I've been in a pipe band since I was 9. Mainly as a drum major (th person who marches in front of the band) but also more recently as a piper. As an adult I've won prizes at all major championships. In 2015 I also travelled to compete in California which was one of the best experiences of my life. It takes up a lot of my free time, especially over the summer (May - August inclusive)

I've never seen a Star Wars film either, but my boyfriend is a big fan. So how long I'll continue without seeing any of the films remains to be seen. LOL. If he has his way I'll be introduced to them at some point.

35559 Sorry I'm a bit late on checking in!

Quick intro, I'll come back and do those questions later.

I'm Vikki, 30 from Northern Ireland. In a relationship. I'm another animal lover - I've 2 dogs (and I've kinda adopted my boyfriend's 2 as well!) - mine are an Alaskan Malamute and Siberian Husky. I also sponsor a dog through a UK charity.

I've been a bookworm for as long as I can remember. My favourite genre is crime/thriller. But I also enjoy chick lit, paranormal/fantasy, historical fiction (mainly Tudor period) and classics. Unsurprisingly I have a soft spot for animal books too.

This is either my 4th or 5th Tower Team challenge
