I tried to be good but a friend wrote a book and I ordered it from Amazon; it came yesterday. I also checked out a book from my local library for the Blind Date challenge. They wrap a book and have a description of the book printed on the outside of the book. I love their challenges as I won a cup and tote bag recently from my library; they had a fox and winter scene on them for the challenge, Winter Tales.

My problem with the Kindle is the books on my shelf "stare at me" and I read them first.

I have the Harry Potter and Outlander books. One granddaughter wants the Harry Potter ones. I have read the Outlander books and may never get to Harry Potter. I have watched the movies.

I am retired so I can have more to time to read, but I still have way too many books and I am getting older.

Since my British Isle cruise in May ( I did the same cruise last year), I am reading books that have an English history from my bookshelves.

I have been boxing some of my books and making a list of the authors and name of the books. Apparently I like Philippa Gregory books and I have 3 of The White Queen which I read recently. I am going to donate some to my library which always has books in the lobby for people to get with a donation. I just put them on the rack.

I am doing a challenge from my local library, this is the badge I got "Clean Out Your Bookcase Day 2024" when I posted my reading time.

I am re-reading Texas Born by Diana Palmer. I am reading books I have on my shelf and this is one I grabbed. I will donate it back to the thrift store where I bought it.

I am reading this for a buddy read also. It is a read for the month of February. I have seen the movie many times but never read the book.

The Last Second by Catherine Coulter and J T Ellison. It has been on my book shelf since I won from Goodreads in 2019.

I have seen the movie many times but did not know she was just sixteen in the book.
So far, I think they did a good job in casting the characters in the movie.
My paperback starts on page 5 and part one ends on page 139.
