My feb books were nothing stellar but also nothing terrible. I am glad I finally got around to reading them. Though i could have done without Girl With the Pearl Earring. That was hundreds of pages about not much.

I finished my first read of 2025, The Beekeeper's Apprentice: or, On the Segregation of the Queen, on the 3rd and it was a tbr book from 2018. If you've not read it. I recommend it. I've only read Sherlock Holmes book, but I think I like this more. Hopefully, i can get another 4 done this month.

I don’t think my tbr will ever get smaller. Sadly, it is the nature of the beast- desire. I will always want more. This challenge does help me cull the older ones those. I either buy them or delete them. If I'm not willing to part with a bit of money and I can't get them from my library, Everand or Audible then they are just taking up space.

Island in the Sun by Katie Fforde
I don’t often read straight romance, so I will recommend this one outside of my comfort zone. Plus, it is set in Dominica, which seems like a lesser written about island.

Synopsis-
When Cass is asked by her father to take on an unusual photography project in the Caribbean Island of Dominica, she really can't see a reason to say no.

But the remote island has just been hit be a severe hurricane, leaving destruction in its wake. Cass is travelling with Ranulph who is searching for the rare stone carvings her father wants her to photograph.

Their hunt leads Cass down a path of bravery and self-discovery, and she soon falls for Ranulph, who has been by her side every step of the way.

But does he feel the same way about her?

I still haven't hit my goal of Suspension level, but I will take Coathanger. So far, I am at 10. I'm hopeful I can get another 2 in.

I've exceeded my goal by 50% so far. However, I've now made that number my 2025 goal. So added pressure before the year starts. But my goal is to use as many tbr books as possible for my challenges. Oh, and to make most of my challenges tbr based ones.😂
