35559 The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet (Wayfarers, #1) by Becky Chambers by Becky Chambers is a space opera, and I could swear there's a character starting with O in it. That's B and O already.

The Kate Beckinsale version is kinda an old one. it's been a while since I've watched but I remember liking it a lot. More recently she also played in Love and Friendship, also a Jane Austen adaptation, of Lady Susan this time. It was very good too.

35559 Clueless is definitely an Emma adaptation, albeit quite loose. Still, the inspiration is definitely there.

I wouldn't say so. Let's say, all space operas are scifi, but all scifi aren't necessarily space opera. I might be wrong, but to me space opera is any scifi futuristic book which takes place in space. There might be something more specific about it, I don't know. Scifi can also be on earth, like something about hightly developed technology, such as robots.

For the sake of the challenge the genre has to be on the top shelves's page on goodread. So we would need books which has "Space Opera" as main genre. For example, The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet trilogy which I loved. Or Children of Time, which I recently acquired and can't wait to read.

Yes, you can fill the spreadsheet yourself. It's pretty straightforward. You write in the title, your name as a reader, the page number and then the reason why it fits the letter. If it matches the genre put a Y in the Top Shelf column. And then if you know other letters it could fit you can also add that.

I'm enjoying Charley, but it's not exactly my favority UF series so far. I don't know, the humour doesn't always do it for me. And the whole reaper portal thing is a bit weird. But otherwise, it's okay. I'm still enjoying it.

That's right. Mansfield Park is the one where they put on the play deemed too scandalous. (nothing really happens in that play, but you know how they were in that period lol).
Emma has a few adaptations. My personal favourite is the one with Kate Beckinsale. But there's also a mini series by the BBC that is quite good. It has the actor who plays Sherlock from Elementary in it.
Pride and Prejudice are my favourite adaptations to watch. I just love the movie with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen. I must have watched it a hundred times at least.

I need to finish The Ruin of Kings. I really like it so far. It's quite dense and sometimes a bit convoluted, but the writing is really good. I like the characters and the humour. But it's time I finish it. I also need to finish Second Grave on the Left, but that one should be done quickly.

Emma is a great one to read. I think it's the first Jane Austen I read for my own pleasure, and not for school. My teen self took ages to read it, but I remember just loving it. Haha. I've reread it a couple of times since then. I just love Jane Austen. The only exception is Mansfield Park. I just can't stand Fanny.
Have you watched an adaptation Emma?

35559 Hey guys! Greetings from Brussels, Belgium.
I see a couple of familiar names here. Hey, nice to be working with you again! And, of course, I'm also happy to meet with new people! I'm sure we're going to have a lot of fun together.

Personally I read a bit of everything, but recently I've been reading a lot of MM Romances, my guilty pleasure. I also like to read fantasy, urban fantasy, YA and I've read quite a few scifi books recently. Like Rebecca, the exception for me would be non-fiction, but if we need to I'm sure I can make an exception for the team ;)

So classic's our first genre... I guess it's time for me to reread some Jane Austen. They've recently released an audiobook of Sense and Sensibility narrated by Rosamund Pike. I quite liked her narration of Pride and Prejudice, so I'm really looking forward to it.
