Hi Laura, Should we only use the spreadsheet to add completed books, or can we also plan our reading on it?
Yasmine wrote: "@Claire: I would love to see your talk show with Matt Haig, I really enjoyed The Midnight Library and have some of his other books still on my tbr! Which book would you recommend I read next? Also,..."Thanks Yasmine. I'd really recommend you read How to Stop Time next. It's my favourite by him !
I've also read The Humans, which was also an interesting read. I didn't love it as much as the other two, but it's definitely worth a try 😊
-You are walking onto a stage with people clapping and cheering for you. What is the theme song playing you in?In the unlikely event that I would be on stage and people are clapping, then I guess it would be some comedy music. lol. I'm really not a stage person, so... won't happen any time soon.
-If you got your 15 minutes of fame, what would you want it to be for?
Hopefully nothing negative or embarassing ! If I could choose though, it would be for writing an amazing book. If I ever get around to writing, that is.
-Do you talk to your plants?
Not really no. But I talk to my cats.
-Do you still consider Pluto to be a planet?
Nope
-If you decided to host a late night talk show, who would be your first guest(s)?
Definitely authors. Maybe, Matt Haig? I feel like he'd be interesting to have a show with. He's the first one I thought about, because his books are right next to my desk. But There are so many, hard to choose. All of them? haha
-Who was your childhood crush?
Does anime characters count? If so, definitely Shaolan from Cardcaptor Sakura. haha
-Any current pets? Want to share pictures?
I've got 4 cats :) The oldest will be 21 in a couple of months. It's the one in the back on the picture. Going from the back to the front, you have Praline, Hermyne, Weasley and Reglys.

-Whiskey or vodka?
Whiskey
-What was your worst haircut?
The one I had on my graduation day. I wanted a fresh cut for that special day, and of course the hairdresser cut too short. I hated it.
-Backpacking or luxury hotels?
A mix of both. Is that an acceptable answer?
-Speaking of luxury, what is your dream car?
I don't really care about cars to be honest. I can't even tell the brand most of the time...
-Would you rather have a cook or a maid?
a cook, without a doubt. I don't like cooking, so it would be a huge relief
-And finally (for now), what books are you looking forward to reading for this challenge?
I'm still making my list, but I'd like to read
,
which I just boughtI also want to reread
And then we'll see where my fancy leads me. I'm more of a mood reader, than a planner.
MelanieJoy wrote: "PS - haven't read or seen the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Is it worth my time?"I watched the movie, and I enjoyed it. I didn't have any interest in reading the book tbh, but after watching the adaptation, I might give it a try.

Interesting choice to get out of a slump. I think I've read 4 of them, I was caught up at the time, but I didn't stay up to date with the releases after. I should get back to it.
For me re-reading doesn't help me get out of slumps at all. Because I feel guilty for not making progress in my TBR... :( The thing that helps me the most is reading something unusual for me. Hence all the light novels I've read lately. First time I try those. Whould I recommend them? Not sure, but I enjoyed the ride and I actually read something. So yeah !
Hello team !! My name is Claire, and I'm from Brussels, Belgium.
I am very excited about this challenge as I'm just getting out of a 3 month long reading slump, and I feel like this challenge will help me not fall back into it. Team challenges usually motivate me a lot.
I read a little bit of everything, but I tend to read more Romance and Fantasy, MM Romance, some classics here and there too. Lately I've read quite a few light novels, which while not the greatest literature has to offer, did help a lot getting our of my slump.
Here is my dedicated shelf for this challenge: Challenge-NBRC-BookGames
Wow, Sammy. Thank you for the very useful information. I had no idea this could happen. That being said, they way they handle it is aweful and completely unethical.
Count me in ! I'm very excited. I've been a weird slump for 2 months now. I'm hoping this challenge will help me get out of it ! :)
Thanks for sharing Melinda. I think I will pass on this one. I need to concentrate on my own personal challenges for the beginning of the year :-)
