"Books can be heaped into a wall to form a defence:" means.
Any clarification, please?"
My interpretation would be a book big enough to be used as a brick to build a wall. But maybe there's another way to interpret it.

My issue is with the publishing industry pasting the retelling sticker on anything, when really there's barely a link.
For example, I have a copy of Marie Lu's Legend that says it's a Miserables retelling. Guess what, there's absolutely nothing from the Miserables in it. Same for Flame in the Mist. I need more than cross-dressing to call something a Mulan retelling.

Because the book I just finished is marketed as a Little Red Riding Hood retelling, but to me it needs more than a werewolf romance in which the main character's name is Ruby to be a retelling of the tale.
Not that I was looking for a retelling, but someone who were would be really disappointed.
It feels like the publishers don't trust the readers to be interested in their book on its own. It has to be a retelling of something, or it has to be compared to other popular books. When in reality, they have rarely anything to do with each other.
Ok, rant done. What do you think?

I have to agree with you there… but when have producers listened to what spectators want ? 🤷♀️🤦🏻♀️

Also very impressed."
How dare you 😲
Just kidding. To each their own I guess? Although, that one would pass on Sam Heughan is beyond me 😉 a vote for Sam please 😊

8-ish hours to go before voting closes for round 2!"
I shared the link to Steven. Pretty sure where his vote is going to fall. But I'..."
Yeah. I think I know his vote as well. He's been quite vocal about his favourite there. haha

preach !!!

Oh no ! bother. It's always a hassle to get to those books before they aren't available anymore. I hope you'll like them.
