Okay I found a book for task 3 - you sure you don’t mind if I complete it, Sarah?

I have updated the spreadsheet!

Can I please sign up for 'S'?
~~Ambi~~ wrote: "Quick questions. Does Spell it out have to be the first letter of the first word?"I got this from the Rules section:
❶ Spell-It-Out: These challenges spell out a word. Then for each letter read books with titles, series names, authors (first or last names) that begin with letters that correspond to the word you choose. Some challenges allow you to use characters (first or last names), too. You may ignore the indefinite and definite articles (a, an, the, etc.)

You should definitely check this out. I have been running around the house screaming since I finished this hahahaha ."LOOL that's hilarious!! I love when a book gets that kind of reaction out of someone. Will have to check it out!
Sarah wrote: "Wow, you're so fast! If you have something that fits task 3, feel free to go ahead on that one. I'm working on task 4 next so I wouldn't be getting to it for a day or two anyway. "Do you have any recommendations for this task? I'm stumped :(

That’s only because I picked novellas (100 - 130 pages). It would take me way longer to finish average sized novels lol! 😅
Going to bed now but I’ll take a look tomorrow :)
Rosaline wrote: "Finished Forest of a Thousand Lanterns for task 1. Will start reading for task 9 today"This book sounds interesting - do you recommend it? :)

Finished
Breath of Life for task #10. A science fiction beauty and the beast retelling. Had high hopes for it but unfortunately a 2 star read :(
Updated the spreadsheet! I’ve finished all of the tasks I signed up for. Let me know if you guys need help completing any others.
Go team!

I vote for Tromso only because I’ve never heard of it lol!
Sure! I like the name ☺️

I really hope we do the spell it out because I do..."I’m okay if we start with a spell it out (start with an easy task before tackling the more challenging ones!). How should we choose the 1st round readers - volunteer or pick randomly? :)

That’s awesome! I really need to get around to reading it. She was so great at writing about suburban creepiness lol! I’m saving Hill House as a Halloween read this year!
Lion Cross was not what I expected. I enjoyed it for the most part but was left a bit confused overall. It’s kind of experimental in that it doesn’t follow a linear plot. That being said it did have some beautiful passages :)
Oh also I read Sleeping Giants earlier this year and thought it was amazing! I have heard nothing but good things about the audiobook as well.
Sarah wrote: "Finished The Bird's Nest for task 5 and updated the spreadsheet! I'm going to start listening to Sleeping Giants for task 4 on my way to work tomorrow."Yay! Did you enjoy The Bird’s Nest?

I like Our Literary Adventures as well!

Completed task 8 “that has a carnivorous animal on the cover” with
Lion Cross Point! Updated the spreadsheet and will start my next book later today!

I started my first book today. I read a big chunk of it on my morning commute and should finish later today (it's a short one!) :)
