Your dad has great taste! Is he a big fantasy reader?

35559 I’m rereading The Name of the Wind but listening to the audiobook this time. I forgot how much I love this book!! Do any of you know if the third book is at all close to being published?😭

I'm actually pretty excited to read Gideon!

The Aeronaut's Windlass - steampunk
House of Leaves - odd and odd formatting
The Immortal Prince - Australian fantasy
Illuminae - sci-fi, very, very fast read
Children of Blood and Bone - YA fantasy
Perdido Street Station - not a fast read, odd
Children of Time - sci-fi with spiders "

You are amazing - thank you!
I own Children of Blood and Bone so I'll get to that one first.
"Sci-fi with spiders" sounds equally awesome/horrific!
35559 My date works!

That’s good to know. I may read it next week.

That actually reminds me. I’d love some recommendations for long fantasy books (800+ pages). Have any of you read ones that you really enjoyed?

So true, Sarah! I didn’t realize how much of a difference it makes especially because I think we’ve read more pages than Ira

35559 I was going to ask you what you thought of the wandering inn. I may pick it up!

35559 I still plan on reading Gideon, Save the Date and Chestnut Man. Not sure about the YA mystery.

Also, I started reading Once Upon a Christmas Wedding which is around 3,000 pages. I’m going to slowly chip away at it for now. Just a forewarning that I plan on spending one of the weeks in November solely reading this book. It’s worth over 600 points!

I love reading Christmas romances leading up to the holidays so this is a perfect choice. Bonus because it’s on kindle unlimited.

35559 We’re at 41 books right now. Is the max 42?

35559 I can read a quick one for snail! But I read it already in May 2018. Is that okay?

35559 Can someone please add the link for At the Water's Edge: Fish with Fingers, Whales with Legs, and How Life Came Ashore but Then Went Back to Sea to the spreadsheet? I can’t add it with my phone. Thank you!

35559 I’ll finish At the Water's Edge: Fish with Fingers, Whales with Legs, and How Life Came Ashore but Then Went Back to Sea by the deadline as well. How many more do we need for another tricky animal collection?

35559 I have to read a non animal book for another challenge so I’m not sure if I’ll get around to finishing How to Clone a Mammoth and the axolotl book. I’ll make sure to keep an eye out for any animals I find though!

35559 I finished Song of the Dodo. Not sure which animal you want to use it for. I made a short list of a few animals (other than Komodo dragon) that I found!
