35559 I would love to visit India. The colours, the food, the people...I've wanted to go for a long time! Kids need to be a bit older to really appreciate it, I think

Nanci, I agree. Adelaide is lovely. Sydney is great too, definitely worth a visit as is Queensland where Sally is from. I'd love to be in Queenland right now, it's freezing here in Melbourne!!
Where in Melbourne did you go?

35559 Hi all,

Another Aussie here. I'm Chava from Melbourne at the bottom of Australia's mainland. I am married (11 years coming up) and we have 4 children - my 10 year old voraciously reading daughter; my 8 year old dreamer & joker son; my 7 year old games playing & 1kg bag a day carrot eating son; and my 5 year old son who comes up with the craziest theories about his daily life - never a boring day! I work full-time as a psychologist and family therapist specialising in early childhood trauma. COVID0-19 is definitely keeping me in a job!

My favourite trip
I'm lucky that I used to live in Europe so I've seen a lot there. We went to Thailand last year and that was very special and we'd like to go again.

Dream trip
I'd love to take my family in a camper van around the rim of Australia or do a trip from Asia to Europe so they can learn about different cultures

Reading genres
I mostly read thrillers and mysteries, but I'll read eclectically if I have to for challenges. I have done Wheel before but each time it takes me a while to remember the rules, I forget easily lol. I rely heavily on audiobooks because I drive a lot for work so I can get 'reading' in then.

I'm really excited to read and play with you all

I am still in therapy for the book suggestions that have been given to me by some of you evil folk!

I tried cataloguing my books....there are just too many. I have absolutely no order in my book location. They are wherever I can find space LOL. At times I see a book and am like 'I really want to buy that' to then go 'or do I already have that?'. I seriously could have doubles without knowing

That is awesome!!
We went to London for a wedding in Feb (right before the world closed down, literally 2 days after we landed the borders closed!). We stayed with this lovely family and they had a floor to ceiling book case with books for adults and kids. My kids are super early risers (sigh!) and usually really noisy once they're up. Not this time, they got up, went to that bookcase and just read and read.

I really shouldn't complain. My bookcase literally collapsed last week with the weight of unread books. They are on shelves 2 deep and then some on top of that. It's gotten out of control. I'm a book hoarder LOL. My husband kindly asked me to go through them and give some away...

QLD and SA are definitely going the fastest with the relaxing of restrictions. The VIC premier is very careful, although he went pretty fast with relaxing some restrictions in just 10 days.
Playgrounds opened yesterday here, but libraries will remain closed until further notice. They open the zoos and pools from next week and we can get our hair cut again and our nails done. Priorities, huh...I wish the libraries would open already, I really miss it!
