Book: Paper Butterfly (A Mei Wang Mystery, #2) by Diane Wei Liang
Date: July 17th
I listened to an audiobook. However, the audiobooks listed were not the one I listened to. I couldn't find one from Blackstone Publishing. I looked on my computer not the app so I'm pretty sure it really isn't there. The hardcover which I shelved is the default edition and the cover is the same as what I listened to.

I updated the planning sheet.

And is this yellow enough?
Kingdom of Ash (Throne of Glass, #7) by Sarah J. Maas"

We found out our work on the 7th which was Tuesday so about 3 days before the round started.

35559 I wanted to check and see if others think this cover is yellow.
Once a Soldier (Rogues Redeemed, #1) by Mary Jo Putney

It looked yellow to me but then I started second guessing.

35559 You can use tin eye.

Make sure you don’t exclude the background color. I think that might be a default setting.

35559 My library is doing curbside pickups and Spin the Dawn is available at the library. I’ve been using the online lending library, but they don’t have the ebook. As we get closer to the date I’ll try and get a copy.

I also signed up for back up on Pachinko DQs. Since I can only get a physical copy of Spin the Dawn I’m not going to sign up as back up because I don’t know if the library will still be open.
35559 I’ll volunteer for back up DQs for team Murder on the Orient Express.

35559 Pachinko is the adult BOM. I’ve got a hold on the audiobook. I think I’ll be able to get it in time.

35559 I was just scrolling through books shelved as love and I must have typed something wrong when I checked Never Let Me Go because it is shelved 77 times a love. I updated it on the planning sheet.

35559 Finished #18
Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
It was such an odd book. It was very well written but I'm not sure I liked it.

The House at Mermaid's Cove by Lindsay Jayne Ashford
July 8th

I put this down for a country scene, if that doesn't work I think it will work for a blue cover. If you don't think either work please let me know and I'll figure something else out.

I've got it on the SS.
Jul 08, 2020 07:12AM

35559 I will probably finish The House at Mermaid’s Cove before the deadline. Works for an E (Edith) and maybe an R but I can’t remember character name.
Jul 07, 2020 01:55PM

35559 I don’t think I’m going to finish The Autobiography of Malcom X. It isn’t a quick read and I have a physical copy so I don’t have as much time to read it. I checked the words and it seems like there is a good chance of getting another word with X.

35559 I’m sorry I hear that, Ora.

35559 Day 5 Questions - 83% - end

22. At the beginning of this section Viv is kind of freaking out over what she did. She starts to call the police, then changes her mind. Then she hears a car pull up and footsteps coming toward where she is. What would you do in this situation?
I'd probably react similarly to Viv. She might have told Alma to come out though. She had a lot of scraps and stuff from Mr. White attacking her.

23. When Viv and Marnie are taking care of Simon Hess, another car pulls up and it's Alma. Did you anticipate her reaction to what was going on? Why or why not?
I expected she would react the way she did because of how she was later in the story. I also expected that because of Tracy Waters they would all feel guilty.

24. Carly is being followed by Callum McCray (sp?) and loses him by pulling into Alma's driveway. Why does Alma cringe or flinch when she hears Callum's name?
Probably because she knows who he is and has talked to him before like she said.

25. One of my favorite scenes was near the end when a ghost in a suit comes in to the motel lobby to check in. Carly doesn't want to touch the ghost so she snatches a key from the case and passes it over the counter. The ghost says "Oh good 209. My old home." I got the shakes just hearing it. Did you anticipate that ghost making an appearance?
I didn't anticipate it but when it happened it felt very very right for the story.

26. Carly figures out what Viv did and gets to meet her aunt. Were you happy with the end of the story? If not, what would you have liked to see?
I liked the end of the story but it felt a little too neat. I guess it wasn't completely neat since Victoria's murder wasn't pinned on Simon. I really liked the state of the motel at the end that seemed really fitting.
