35559 Hi all,

I’ve been in the process of getting ready to and starting a new job (today was the first day) so I’ve been reading messages but not posting much. I hope everyone is doing well.

That being said, I know the team SS could use some updating and as time allows I’ll being getting to that.

As for the question I saw about bingo earlier I think we should get points as we complete the tasks like we do for the main task list. I didn’t read anything that says we don’t. It is probably an SS error if we aren’t.

The task for #8 in series has been claimed already. But to answer your question we go with what Good Reads says. The first series number listed on the page.

I also loved The House in the Cerulean Sea. I think it was probably my favorite book from last year. Lucy was great.

Amazon also lists that ISBN number as having 400 pages so I guess there are a lot of unnumbered pages. We will go with the amazon and good reads page number since they agree.

Posted for Good Reads librarians so they should be able to get it sorted.

35559 Short answer is, no. You will need to read the book during the challenge to have the bonus points count. The 6 month rule for rereads applies.

Now say you read Guards! Guards! this month, and then want to answer the questions for BOM in July, that would work for getting the bonus points. I hope this answers your question fully.

I got the second dose of the COVID shot yesterday and I'm a bit foggy, so might not have written as clear an answer as I had hoped. Please ask for clarification if you need it.

Erin, I’m checking on this because I think I’ve seen it done both ways. You can always reread a book if it has been at least 6 months. I’ll let you know for sure when I get an answer.

35559 Hi Team,

Also sorry to have been mostly absent. This week has been a bit of a whirl wind. I got a new job and gave notice at my work so I'm in a two week transition now. I'm also a UNO captain and have been focusing on that.

I've got an audio book that I will hopefully finish today and then I'll be ready to start TT. I've got three books that I'm going to be starting with. Something to Talk About which I've had a hold on for 7 or more months so I'm really looking forward to that one. Across the Green Grass Fields which is another book I'd been waiting for my library to get. Lastly I have an ARC that I'll be reading. Not sure if I'm looking forward to it but I think it will be an enjoy able read. Heartbreak for Hire

As for book recommendations if you want a recommendation let me know what you like to read and I'll recommend a book. I think that is more what the mods were thinking when they added the task.

35559 Hi Team Angua von Uberwald!

I'm Annalisa and I'm one of your co-captains for TT. This will be my third TT. I'm currently a captain in UNO and don't have a co-captain, so I probably won't be very chatty here until UNO finishes.

I live in Asheville, North Carolina, US. I mostly read historical romance (this is probably because it is a de-stressor and they are fast reads for challenges), I also really like fantasy and science fiction. I will read pretty much any genre though if it is the right book. I don't remember the last movie I saw. I don't watch a lot of movies. It might have been Mulan (the new action version) or it might have been Wolf Walkers. Both were a bit disappointing.

Here is a link to my TT shelf: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...

I'm looking forward to playing this version of TT with everyone.

35559 The glitch has gotten a little better for me. I’m now getting notifications about an hour late instead of 10 hours later.

35559 Looking forward to tower teams. I’ve found the disc world books hit or miss for me. I started with The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents and really liked it and then I read Eric or The Color of Magic and I’ve been hesitant to read more. I know a lot of people who really enjoy them, I think this time I’ll try for audiobooks. As my biggest issue was the pacing was very slow.

35559 Everything is all updated and I've distributed meals. I think we are all ready for this month to be over.
Dec 11, 2020 06:38PM

35559 Everything on the working sheet in dark red is on the official sheet and all the words that I can use have been used. The books highlighted in lavender have not had meals created from them. I have about six meals on the official sheet that I need to finish. I'll try and work on it some more tomorrow before the deadline, but I'm a bit sick. I'm feeling better today, but I don't know what tomorrow will be like. I'm hoping it is just a cold.
Dec 11, 2020 04:04PM

35559 I switched to working on the official sheet for making meals. I have about 25 complete at this point. If anyone else can help that would be great. I think we have to have them done by tomorrow.

No problem. November was a bit of a crazy month for me. I participated in National Novel Writing Month and where in past years things went smoothly this year didn't work that way. I'll keep working on making meals. I'm trying to name them as I go. I think that makes it a little easier in the long run.
