Day 1 DQ's: 0-21% (ends "he opened the door.")

1. The Sundown Motel...what a perfect name for a motel! Have you ever stayed at a motel before...something like the Sundown? What was the name of the motel...Any interesting experiences come of that?
The first and only time my family and I stayed in a motel was a Days Inn, which was recommended by a friend. Well the security guard was trying to get in our room in the middle of the night while we slept. We found out later that we weren't the only costumers that he tried. When we went to the manager that person disappeared but we made sure we gave our statement to the police. I was thankful that I always place all the locks every time I go away.

2. Viv is young and working alone. I don't think I would tolerate my daughter doing anything of the sort. What were you thinking from the 1st few pages? Viv comments..."Being with people was easy, but being alone was hard. Especially along in the dark. The person who could be truly alone, in the company of no one but oneself and one's own thought--that person was stronger than anyone else. More ready. More prepared."
I could never let my young daughter go off without a care. My daughter is going to be 23yrs old and still have a curfew. So nope, I couldn't.

3. What do you think the significance of the door to number 103 banging open/shut is?
I'm not sure but someone has to be either messing around and making it seem the place is haunted or it really is haunted and some of the dead are trying to help. Strange things happening in this motel.

4. So far Carly's mom's reaction to seeing the newspaper clipping..."Vivian is dead" has really bothered me. What's your take? Have you already solved the case? Is Vivian dead?
I'm not sure yet. I find it strange how she's the only body that wasn't found but who knows. Too soon to tell.

5. What did you think about the dual timeline between Viv and Carly? In what ways are Viv and Carly very similar? How are they different?
I like the dual timeline. It gives us insight from both females. They are both curious and more "go for it" types but I find Viv was a bit more naive, where Carly was more educated in everyday things. Not sure if it had anything to do with the difference in times. Both were tough enough to stay in Fell even when things got weird.

It has to be the book you read unless you do an audio then its the default.

I’m halfway down with my current book which works for E but I think I may be able to finish another book. We shall see. 😀
