35559 I guess you could have (Lust has a category for ARCs!) but I assume it’s much too soon for a re-read ;)
If you can put a read date on there, we can let other teams know so they can potentially use it for Envy...

35559 I finished my last book just before midnight last night!
Woohoo!

35559 @M — did you already read Gideon the Ninth?
You don’t have any start/finish dates on it but you do have 5 stars 🙂 Was it that good?

Eek, yes, good luck!
At least if you end up starting&finishing your last Lava book tomorrow evening after TT starts, you would be able to use the book for both! I think! :)

35559 Neat prize! Do you mean the winning team by total points (traditional)?

That reminds me -- what happened w/the 'three winning teams' of last fall's Wheelathon 2018 being able to test out a new challenge system or something? Is that the same as the challenge you're going to be announcing in early 2020?

Also: Mmmmmmm, cupcakes. *drool*

35559 Definitely blue, yes :)

35559 I'm almost done with both of my 2 remaining books.
I could probably have finished The House with a Clock in its Walls last night, but I don't like it very much so I read more of the other one instead!

I am also starting with the BOM, Gideon the Ninth, because my digital library loan is going to be yoinked sometime on Wednesday so I have to make sure that I finish by then!
Not sure if I will start another book concurrently, but if I do, it’s going to be The Pillars of the Earth. Very long, and cleared as Brown cover :)

Hah, I haven’t read Tender is the Night, but I liked the other two!

Who know! *sigh*
I saw in your “bad” reccs where you said “if this is part of a mini-challenge, just don't read my books”. Lol.

Hah, really does go to show how much overlap there is between the LOVE and HATE reccs 😄

35559 Maybe more of us from Team Ira should post in Bad Book reccs, to help level the field, hehe.

35559 More comment spam, but USEFUL comment spam:

I was just checking to see if there's a countdown clock to challenge start (no clock, but there's exactly 49 hours to go as of this comment).
I had totally forgotten that it starts at 7am *AEST*... and not 7am *EST* which is where I am.
So those of us in the US & Canada get to start on Sunday afternoon/evening here. Score!

:D :D :D

35559 @Eni,
You are so right about Marked (House of Night series). The first few are okay but those books get worse and worse. And worse.

35559 I just posted some stuff on the "Bad Books" thread... but I am kinda paranoid that they're gonna do something with it for mini challenges, like make us read each other's most hated books, lol.
At least I tried to make mine have a wide variety... XD

35559 Okay, here I am from Team Ira!
ONLY THREE? Here goes...

Nevermor (Nevermor, #1) by Lani Lenore
Nevermor
Horrible Peter Pan fan fiction masquerading as an original fiction retelling. And so tedious that it put me to sleep 5 nights running.

Touch of Eternity (The Curse #1) by Emily Bold
Touch of Eternity
Like a cross between Highlander and Twilight, with few of the better qualities of either.

Compulsion (The Heirs of Watson Island, #1) by Martina Boone
Compulsion
Insipid, boring, disappointing. Too much telling with very little showing. Southern Gothic gone wrong.

And in the "So bad it's good!" category, I submit:
Sanctuary Bay by Laura J. Burns
Sanctuary Bay
Gorgeous Teens in Exclusive Prep School! on a Secluded Island! with a Scary Abandoned Mental Hospital! and a Dark Forest! and Secret Societies! and Neurological Tampering! and also Underground Tunnels! and even Nazis!!! I ask you, what hasn't this book got?!

35559 Yay weekend binging! I won't be able to add more than the 2 books I've got going now, as I've got a bunch of kid/family stuff this weekend. But for now it looks like we're good.

35559 Also I think they're both on Scribd.

Maybe it is time for me to finally do that 30-day free trial thing, because the wait times at my libraries are hella long.
