35559 I’m kinda jealous of people who got the print, it sounds gorgeous,

I’m on Chapter 22, really liking this book!

35559 Ah, okay. On the book page, under your entry (cuz we're GR Friends) it just says:
cheap-on-kindle, adapted-to-film, adventure, buddy-reads, childrens, classics, fairytales, fantasy, fiction, nbrc-lava

But I guess it's getting cut off because you have so many tags on it! When I go to your "book review" page it says:
cheap-on-kindle, adapted-to-film, adventure, buddy-reads, childrens, classics, fairytales, fantasy, fiction, nbrc-lava, nbrc-tt19, read-in-2019, young-adult

Consider me schooled.
[and next time I should just check people's tt shelves directly ;D]

I added the name of the player on Team Envy who read it.
Also, it looks like you shelved the book for Lava instead of TT ;D
Fix that, and you are good to go.

35559 I started The Pillars of the Earth, on top of Gideon BOM, but there's no way I'll finish it during week 1.
It'll just be going along on the side of whatever else I'm reading.

After I finish Gideon I'll need to see whether I should try for another longish one for Week 1, or if I need to do multiple shorter ones instead, in order to keep my numbers close to sign-up. I realize that the sign-up totals thing is collective, not individual, so I guess it depends on how everybody else is doing then :D

35559 Happy Monday!

*took break from reading on way to work*
* goes back to book now*

35559 Yeesh, I thought I’d be able to check in a few min before this ends, and add Megan’s final book if she is able to finish it overnight, but what with some time change, it will be 6am here rather than the 7am I was expecting, and I will definitely not be awake.

I went ahead and put The Night Tiger on the official spreadsheet for “A”, but:
@Megan, if you do finish the B book, will you be able to go on official spreadsheet and change the word from “A” to “BY” and enter everything?

Goodnight everyone! This has been fun!

35559 I am finally free 2 read!!
Starting Gideon now. My goal is to read at least 100 pages tonight, possibly 150 if I stay up late :)

35559 I am online because my cousin took my daughter down to the deli/bodega. Still not worth starting my book with the 10 minutes or so that I have, but I sure can use my time to troll GR. 😁

@Rebecca,
As per Captains Group, apparently if you read the large print edition, you are supposed to use the page count from the “default” edition. For your book, it’s 414 pages.
(Jessi, is that how you interpreted that convo?)

35559 1 hour and 7 minutes to go.... until my cousin gets here. Haha.
Oct 06, 2019 11:50AM

35559 Okay, don’t worry. I’ll try to check early in the morning, like 20 minutes before the end of the countdown, just in case you’ve finished it in time.
If you aren’t able, I will change The Night Tiger to an “A” for William Acton. 30 points is fewer than 80 but greater than none. ;)

Jessi or I can send you a private message if there’s any reason but I’m sure everything will work out fine.

35559 That is great, Joanne! And hopefully it’s not one of those books that doesn’t translate well to Audio, lol.

35559 November BOM threads are up. I will add to Sticky Posts later and there is obviously plenty of time left to volunteer to write DQs, but if anyone already knows they want to do so, here are the links:

You aren’t the only one who can’t read immediately, time zone notwithstanding. I have a family thing: a cousin I haven’t seen in years is coming in to NYC to have dinner at our place. On the one hand I am excited to see her, but on the other I am like... WANT 2 B REEEEDING! 😂

Right! Erin from Team Envy has read that book this year, at least.
