I picked Dark Rise.
Since starting, the "Priority" tag has moved down the page and is now at the bottom. I took a screenshot several days ago when it was a bit higher, but I figured I would also mention it here too, so that other people can check and confirm I am not crazy, and the book will still count even if "Priority" gets bumped down to Page 2 by the time I finish it...

I ended up finishing Fray on Monday, but I also finished another book (Nowhere Girl: A Memoir of a Fugitive Childhood) today 6/16 which apparently means it can be used for the Monster Mini?! I haven’t been on GR or the spreadsheet since last weekend so TBH I haven’t read about that Mini challenge yet, but I will figure it out.
I can look at the spreadsheet later tonight…
ETA: oh yay, my book fits a task for Monster Mini!
Spreadsheet is updated

My other book, Fray, I'll finish sometime this weekend.

Paris, I saw in one of the captain's threads that the next mini will start on June 15th."
So there's another half-month-long mini, in addition to the Maze starting at the beginning of June?
Interesting... :D

My current book (on main tab of speadsheet) has an O character but hasn't been placed in May Mini yet. I will be finishing the book tonight or tomorrow, so I shall go ahead and claim that O.

That does indeed seem very likely, but personally I don't mind, as long as my books count for something. A book doesn't have to be logged for a mini-challenge to count for the overall total TT!

Behold, book maze!

I just got a Book Maze task, however, that involves reading the "Longest Book on My TBR" [even number of pages]... and that means this one:

I'm going to try to get it on audio. It's like 45 hours long; the default edition is 1014 pages, so that's a 100 pointer!
I'll hopefully get that going soon, and also keep reading other shorter stuff alongside...
*rolls up sleeves*

Sorry, yeah, official start was "May 15th, at 9 PM London UK (BST)" so we Americans can still put 5/15 as start date (it'd be 5/16 in Australia though, haha).
I was thinking back to those challenges where the official start time was Midnight UK or wherever, so anyone in earlier time zones had to adjust their read date up by one.
So never mind me! If you started and finished between 4pm EST and 11:59pm EST on 5/15, put 5/15.
/end backseat captaining :D

I think you have to put 5/16 as the read date though. At least that's what I've seen people do to get around the time zone difference in previous challenges. Just pretend you finished after midnight :D
I once worked out that GR sets dates by West Coast USA time, which is weird considering how often the rest of US businesses & companies & TV networks etc. set their clocks and countdowns in reference to East Coast time.

Mostly in Seattle and San Francisco, so I guess that explains it!
Too bad for Texas, lol.

I've started a book that I think works for the Book Maze [eta: task is to Read a book where a character doesn't need to work for a living]. I was waiting for TT, so it could count for both :D

It's been on my TBR for years and years, so it feels good to finally get to it. Plus, it's pretty entertaining so far!

I'm trying to read a bunch of random short stuff before TT starts, as well. Novellas under 100 pages, graphic novels and such.
Listening to a lot of music so as to help me avoid the temptation of starting any audiobooks... la la la!!!

Mine is:

I hope everybody had a nice weekend -- and a lovely Mother's Day, if applicable! Mine was really great, until my daughter decided to throw a giant fit when asked in the evening to do one. single. basic. thing. o_O
