35559 DQs Day 1
Ch 1 to CH 8

1.) What do you think of the premise of the book, like an aging rock band getting back together to go on tour but an adventuring band instead? Is the author pulling it off so far?

I’m listening to the audiobook and it definitely has that modern aging rock band feel to it.

2.) The rocks, may of hit me a bit in the feels. Did it affect your opinion of Gabe at all?
I did find it quite amusing; Gabe comes off as a father who is trying too hard and is hoping to make amends

3.) How do you like the world building, is it being done effectively for you without major info dumping? Is it helping to set the stage for the story?
I’m not a great lover of high-fantasy but the world building is working for me. Series where there is a lot of information all at once is very off-putting especially if I have to go back and check things.

4.) What did you think about the parade? Did anyone else enjoy Clay's reaction to the ladies being whistled at and be disappointed when the lady blew a kiss back instead of skewering the guy (like Clay expected to happen)?
It definitely highlighted that the real work was done behind the scenes.

5.) Do you have a favorite character so far?
At the minute Clay but probably because it is told from his POV in the main

Bonus: Taking a poll for a very important question. On the Tassel Farm: Centaur or Moose? I’d like it to be a Centaur but probably a moose

It is loads of fun. I go to a mobile pole class where they also have hoop and trapeze. I managed to do a few pole spins and took a spectacular dive off the top of the hoop. 🤕

I like the idea of the Zombie run.

Please only put books on the main sheet 😉

As long as the characters are important to the book and have some sort of dialogue they can be used.

35559 3 Days into the challenge and we have a number of books completed.

@Geri please check the edition for Against the Currant, the page count of the edition you have shelved is different to the one linked on the sheet.

@Skye please add The Lightning-Struck Heart to your TT Shelf with a read date.

@Dawn please add options on how your book might work for the mini

The link when I hover over it shows Lessons in Chemistry.

I know that this is a glitch that the Captains have spotted but as long as the link takes you to the book page it isn't a major problem.

Yep that's right. If you are using the spreadsheet to post books and have read a book that needs a verified word count you can do this by adding a comment to the sheet.

Hi Jessica the main aim of towers is to read books. We have a minimum of 223 books a month to read as a team.
We do have a mini running alongside but there is no need to worry about this as every book read will slot in the mini somewhere.

Definitely not orange enough might work for black though.
Completion post can be done here or in the spreadsheet. 😀

Fabulous, I’m going to start it later. Currently reading Siege and Storm (The Shadow and Bone Trilogy, #2) by Leigh Bardugo .

Securing Avery (SEAL of Protection Legacy, #5) by Susan Stoker looks Grey 😞

I agree with Karen it looks bright purple. I tend to steer clear of tineye unless a challenge specifically asks that it’s used. If in doubt post the cover here and we can make a team decision 😀
