35559 Happy Monday everyone. We have a little over 5 days until the end of June Towers. We are still in need of 2 509-599 books to meet our page towers. I have to read Cloud Atlas for another challenge and hopefully can squeeze in Small Great Things. Which would cover it.

We have 2 new chipmunk tasks:

X-Rays - Read a book with MPG Science Fiction

"10 Commandments - ""Don't commit adultery"" - Read a book when someone cheats"
35559 Day 1 DQs: ch1- 3

1) I have only read a few of Stephen King's books. Is this your first book by the author or are you quite familiar with his storytelling?

I’ve read a few Stephen King Novels and enjoy the way he tells a story. I also enjoy the movie adaptation of his novels.

2) What do you think about the character Jake so far? Would you have gone along with what Al wanted and took the initial step back into the past, or would you have not humoured him and tried to get him help?
My first instinct would be to try and get him help. I don’t think I would have gone back.

3) I am not sure how I would feel if I just stepped back into the past the way Jake and Al have, but I am really curious about how the time travelling works in this story. It seemed that Jake was somewhat calm about it. How do you think you would feel if it was you?
He seemed very calm, I think I would have panicked a bit more.

4) I think it is clear that Jake is going to pick up Al's mission to try and stop the JFK assassination. Would you choose to continue Al's mission? Also how much do you know of the history surrounding this event?

I know very little of the JFK assassination sadly but my logical mind wouldn’t let me. To change one thing in the past could have catastrophic results to the present day.

You need to have read them during the 3 month period of the challenge and answer questions within the month of the BOM.
You can re-read a book as long as it’s been longer than 6 months since you last read it.

X-Rays - Read a book that gets under the skin of something (be creative - a psychological thriller, a non-fiction investigation)

This could be a fiction book that gives you chills
Psychological Thriller or psychological horror

Investigative non-fiction such as on Best FBI Non Fiction

Or you could use something within the story/title
The Surgeon a serial killer tortures his victims by cutting them.

35559 Happy Saturday everyone. I’m back from vacation and back to RL. Thank you Karen and Melissa for holding the fort whilst I was away.

We have 13 days left in this month so if you can grab a big book, ideally with a lovely color please do.

I have a short book for X author I can knock out after I’ve finished my booker novel

No one has claimed it as far as I can see.
