33903 Shelf: KINDLE FREEBIE
Date read: 16. Nov
Book: The Vampire's Mail Order Bride
Pages: 372
Fits: shelved 18 times as kindle-freebie
Rating: 3 stars

It's one of those 'I only read it because it was free for Kindle and I needed it for a challenge' situations again... But this time I didn't draw the shortest straw. I got:
+ Small town full of different paranormal creatures.
+ Colorful secondary characters that I can't wait to meet again.
+ Old mail-order-bride cliche modernized. It worked quite well.
+ Cute pet cat.
The Vampire's Mail Order Bride was a classic good old PNR so I recommend it to all the fans of this genre.

33903 Shelf: URBAN FANTASY
Date read: 9 Nov
Book: Serpent's Kiss
Author: Thea Harrison
Pages: 337
Fits: shelved by 170 users as urban-fantasy
Rating: 4 stars

And to think I gave up on 'Elder Races' races series some times ago. Then I read the first book on a whim for a dragon category of a challenge and decided to give it another try. I skipped re-reading book#2 which I did not like and jumped into the next story/couple.
Serpent's Kiss is a great PNR novel. The character's have great chemistry. And again Thea Harrison makes quick relationship and mates concept work.
I also loved the world-building, which is more complex than in some urban fantasy novels.
I will definitely read more soon...

33903 Shelf: DRAGON
Date read: 2 Nov
Book: Dragon Bound
Author: Thea Harrison
Pages: 337
Fits: shelved 148 times as dragon
Rating: 4 stars

Before continuing with this series I decided that a re-read of first book is in order. It held nicely to my memory.
The romance happened too quickly, but it worked for me.
I loved complex world-building and a lot of different paranormal creatures.
Looking forward to reading more...

33903 Shelf 7: SHIFTERS
Date read: 26 Oct
Book: High Voltage
Author: Karen Marie Moning
Pages: 477
Fits: 9 people tagged it as shifters
Rating: ☆☆☆☆

Review:
So after two endings, this series continues yet again. High Voltage brings us Dani's POV and resolves some of the loose ends left.
At times it was a lot romantic, I did not expect it from this series. Fever is usually more about action and stopping the bad guys then romantic HEA. But I guess we have been waiting this for a while.
Can't wait the next book to find out what's Mac cookin' in her room. ;)

33903 So it seems like the next shelf is DRAGON: https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/...

While I am sad it's not druids, I love dragons so... :D

33903 That's great when you squeeze a book that you wanted to read into the requirements for the challenge. I am going with the next/last in series for me: High Voltage. 9 people tagged it as shifters. :)

33903 Just re-checked and I forgot to post my review for time travel shelf. (duh). So here it is:

Shelf 5: Time Travel
Date read: 14 Oct
Book: Replay
Author: Ken Grimwood
Pages: 276
Fits: shelved 562 users tagged it as time-travel
Rating: 4*

The concept of replaying your life while remembering the events was always intriguing theme for me. Especially in books. Would you correct all the mistakes? Could you make it perfect?
And what would you do if it keeps replaying over and over again...
Very interesting book. Recommended.

33903 Shelf 6: Motorcycle Club
Date read: 20 Oct
Book: Craving Constellations
Author: Nicole Jacquelyn
Pages: 305
Fits: shelved 81 times as motorcycle-club
Rating: 1*

Love stories with bikers usually are not my cup of tea, but I had to pick a book with biker for a reading challenge. Since I liked Fostering Love series by Nicole Jacquelyn, I picked up Craving Constellations hoping that maybe I will like it too. No such luck.

Why this book did not work out for me?
✘ Heroine is always running to a man to solve her problems.
✘ Hero/Dragon is involved in gun smuggling/trade. And it's represented like it's ok because he is better person than heroine's husband who had a legal job but was abusive. I can never agree with this attitude. Yes, I know that all people involved into illegal activities are not bad, but who knows how many innocents those guns killed...
✘ Even if I approved of Dragon's professions, I still would not like him. Because he kept saying jewels like: "Fuckin' cunt. Couldn't even let the man drive the fuckin' car; she wants to have a dick so bad."
Oct 22, 2018 10:41AM

33903 Nope I am not in another team challenge. Didn't sign up because I was not sure if I will have time. I have been too busy lately.

I have read all the books. Just have to check if I have written all reviews. I have a feeling I missed something.
