i finished my book for the magic shelf,
Big Bad Wolf on 3/19 and give it four stars. most of the series has seemed to concentrate on the council of others and while it is given a brief mention in this novel, it is not as focused as the previous ones. I liked the depth given to the characters when they were not so focused on this one thing, as well as learning more aout the characters. Great world building, can't wait to continue this series.

Meghan, that's a good one!

i finished my paranormal mystery shelf book on 3/15. i give it four stars. For some reason, i was very reluctent to read this book. I am really not sure why. I liked the boarding school aspect of it as well as the part about being in London. Its fun to read about a character who makes mistakes and doesn't understand things because she is American and in a different country. Very easy to relate to. The ending was a lot of fun, i think it appears as though there will be more books...?

eek! i finished my book on Tuesday, yet haven't reviewed it yet! better do it now, eh? I read
Bitten by Cupid for the paranormal romance shelf. finished 3/7, i give it four stars.
This book is an anthology, and anthologies are unique in that the authors of each story must rebuild their worlds for their new readers and not bore returning readers of their series'.
The first story by Lynsay Sands interests me to read that series, but at the same time left me feeling confused and also feeling as though the story was simplified.
The second story, by Pamela Palmer, is from a series i am familiar with. However, there were still many holes that had me questioning the story until the end, where it all came together.
The third story is by Jamie Rush. I enjoyed this story but found the whole oh you see picture in your head and i hear thoughts in mine that is cool to be very simple and unbelievable.

hmm good question. Not too much jumping around, i like to know what is going on. good character development and world building. I want it to be believable that those vamps or whatever are in that world. Women characters that aren't whiny! lol. action is good

Meghan, for me it was also because of the writing.

Barbra, that is how i felt about this series too, just wanted to finish it. But it wasn't really worth it. Not a good series and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone

I finished my demons shelf book
Hunt the Moonon 2/27. I give it three and half stars. I would have liked to have given it more, because i really enjoyed reading this book, however, i felt that some problems with the writing needed to bring the score down. I don't want to put any spoilers in the review. There were at least two instances where the action got really thick and then the conclusion of that action seemed to not fit, whatsoever. One of the times, Cassie and her vampire lover went back in time during a date and the action got really crazy but then all of sudden the action was gone and the date like activites commenced. How do you stop fighting for your life and have a picnic when there was no actual conclusion to the fight? and also, the vamp says that his minions had a hard time arranging the picnic. I don't understand how that is even possible when he can't travel back in time to give the orders for the picnic in the first place.
Overall, its a great book and i will continue to read the series, i just felt that there were some holes in the plot.

What made you change your mind, Meghan?

ohh barbara, that is a hot cover!

I am glad to read your review, Leslie. This is another series that I would like to eventually read. I am really trying to finish up the ones i have already started and then work on series that are already ended. I hate waiting for the next book in the series! I am so grateful that steph pointed out the website that helps me keep track of my series. How does everyone else keep track of their series? Do you guys try to have rules like i do about what to read?
