Bunny, our vampire h, was attacked back in London, and made a vamp against her will. As the Vampire King said, she'd be an indentured servant (slave) for 100 yrs, she decided to disappear to Alaska. Her parents were on the side of the vamp king, as the father did business with him.

Bunny is the assistant to the Nomo (police chief) of Portlock, Ak, a paranormal town where everyone can be themselves. Bunny, has a new story, everytime, to give people, who ask about her name, some are hilarious.

Normally I'd give 4 stars for this story but the beginning felt very clunky, Bunny was a bit of a special snowflake & at times TSTL. However, I liked the premise, I liked the world, I liked the side characters, I liked the mystery so I'll read the next one and hope it was just first book syndrome.

It's good so far, I'll probably finish it today.

But I'm going to Ikea then Costco, which is just across the street from Ikea, so who knows if I'll have time.

To me Venom in the Veins looks mostly blue & grey. Sorry I don't have the book to check my own copy, which I usually do.

I'd switch, but I've nearly finished my book for this shelf.
