LOL. I totally forgot to do the hashtag. I have completed the book so I'm looking forward to the next discussions while everything is fresh in my mind.
I'm going to attempt another Border's run although I got a lot already for really cheap. The Nocturne Harlequins were dirt cheap. @ Jen, you'll love this book. It's intense in all the right way and a really fast read. I've been reading it on Kindle mostly so I can tweet in my progress! I wonder if I ought to do a hash tag... something like #bba.
Anyhow, I'm on chapter 18, I think. more then half way through. I'll wait for the next discussion set to go up. But so far my interest is still highly piqued!
@ Stephanie G. I'm so bummed about Borders but at least we can take advantage of the deals. LOL. As for my book's travels. It almost took a swim so it's not all fun and games. Bwahaha!!
Well, let me say "whoo hooo for the dreamworld!" Very hot and well written!!! A little embarrassing with my giggles.... fellow beach goers were giving me the look. Oh well!
@ Tania and Felicia. Thanks for the info- I have the entire series except the most recent but I'm thinking this is one I must read on!=)
Tania wrote: "Great photos - I read the book by the beach with the waves crashing over rocks. The story grabbed me right from the start. I loved how she gives you just enough info to get established in the w..."
So far, from what I've read, I agree!
The beach is a fabulous place to read. I just thank my Polynesian heritage for the brown skin I have... I don't burn easily.
Have you read more into the series Tania? Is the writing style consistent? *Sorry don't mean to go off tangent*
I am currently on chapter four and so far I'm fully enjoying the feel. It almost has a scifi- paranormal feel with a layer of sensual romance. I;m really digging the blend. Also, I took my book out to Manoa Falls. It is a very popular and simple hike. It gets complicated if you take side trails off and head to the ridge or the falls further in. Here's a picture of Slave, even though, I decided to switch over to my kindle.
ah... a few more:
Does anyone else have any other fave quotes!!? Honestly, the book is filled with so many goodies.
Pia and Dragos are certainly consuming my mind at this time. I want to know more about them and what will happen!
Kristin wrote: "I love the quote "Payback was a beautiful bitch. She was also a good friend of his, and they were just getting started." on pg 106."I agree!! Thea Harrison really made an impression with Dragon Bound!
So true Jen!Another fave quote can be found on Page 93:
"The sight of his bare chest had stolen every digit of her IQ."
This one had me rolling. Brilliantly written!
@ Kristin- I love that about Dragos too. There is no tricking him. I also found it interesting that he has to sort through memories as if going through file cabinets. Great little details added by the author really helped.
Thanks Steph! I'm super glad we picked this title to read because it's my new favorite!Btw, Anyone can enter to win an Elder Races book!

I can only begin to imagine that mighty roar. Honestly, at this point I wish never wish Pia's situation on anyone!
One of the first teasers I highlighted was page 7: "She knew what-who-had made that unholy sound and why. The knowledge made her guts go watery.
If she were in a race for her life, that roar was the starter pistol. If God were the referee, He had just shouted Go."
Hey Steph- Thx for getting this thread going. Here is where you can find my review: http://www.lovlivlifereviews.com/2011...
