Hi! I just read a very exciting and nail biting military romance novel: Deadly Descent by Kaylea Cross, but Book Vixen has a reading challenge for Novels with Men in Uniform, so I guess she reads quite a few military novels.

Lol, so you see :-)
Well I strongly dislike Minx, so when I learned she'll be there in Book #4 too I was one grumpy reader ;-) I prefer to have Faythe as the only woman in the bunch, but I guess, I'll have to grow to like Minx :-/ lol ;-)
I soooo want to read Book #4 but have at least 4 urgent review books first :-(

I have heard that many people disliked Faythe at the beginning, I didn't have any problems with her. Sure what she puts poor Marc through is awful, but I can understand her, maybe because I'm close to her in age and get that she doesn't want to feel tied down so young before seeing a bit of the world. (Also, Rachel Vincent had to include some character development, so she had to start somehwere ;-p)

Glad to hear you enjoyed it Felicia :-D I loved Stray as well, and they are so addictive I couldn't stop and had to read Book #3 right away :-) Gobbled up each one of them in 1 day, now I try to be patienmt and read Prey only after I read some of my review books *sighs* Can't wait to discuss it with you! :-)

Count me in, count me in! :-D Of course I'll be joining the BBA Reading Challenge! :-)

Haha, I know Felicia, same thing with me, I am so head in the clouds these past weeks :-)

Yay! I've had Spider's Bite on my TBR list for so long, I can't wait to finally read it! Heard so amny great things about this series! (and the covers look gorgeous too ;-p)

I agree! Ashlyn's sacrifice had me choking up, loved the intensity of the scene and Maddox's anguish was so powerfully conveyed! Loved it!!

About to start the series and wanting to know the lay of the land? A seasoned fan just wanting to see clear? This post is for everyone interested in the LOTU series!

At first I found it a bit weird that these powerful and brave warriors had butterfly tattoos, but thanks to the gorgeous covers and Gena's description I got to see that the butterfly could be really something else than a teenage girl tattoo choice. ;-p

Yay! Hope you'll like it Felicia, tell us how it was compared to Maddox's story! :-)

Ok here is that paragraph I wanted to share:
"Every night death came, slowly, painfully, and every morning Maddox awoke in bed, knowing he'd have to die again. That was his greatest curse and his eternal punishment."
Wow, talk about a strong, powerful beginning!

I never would have thought Lucien would be paired off with Anya, but now I'm curious to read their story! :-)

I agree, Anya was a wonderful character (she reminded me so much of the valkyries in Kresley Cole's Immortals after Dark series), she cracked me up. I love this modern take on ancient mythological creatures, how hip they talk, the slang they use, that cracks me up :-D
I can't see how Lucien and Anya will fit (since they didn't have any scene so far) but I definitely want to see more of Anya :-)

I agree! I especially loved the gradual and very nuanced, subtle acceptance of the demon inside Maddox and how he grew attached to Ashlyn. :-)
(ps. can't wait to read Reyes book, I'm sure we'll be in for some very funny scenes thanks to his cluelessness :-D lol)

I agree, a powerful and gripping start to a series, and LOL Felicia, I'm with you at the hunna hubba! I just melted at how fierce and violent Maddox is and how gentle and protective he became whenever Ashlyn was concerned! And kudos to Gena Showalter, because she made the transformation of Maddox so natural and smooth, it didn't feel forced or rushed at all. Don't you agree? And Ashyln is the perfectwoman for him, with her innocence and sweetness.

LOL! :-D And it must have been such a challenge for Gena to write Paris' story and make the readre believe why Paris' heroine is different from all the other women ha has seduced. Can't wait to see how she will resolve that story! :-)

I agree Felicia! Usually book 1 is a bit bumpy, the author is trying to establish the characters, the universe and it doesn't flow as naturally as in the subsequent books, but here it was smooth and so enjoyable! :-) Great project! :-))
