31471 Faith,
Correct - the Librarians is the place to get changes like this done. Thanks.
31471 I think it is now the help group.

31471 You'll have to talk to the people at the help group.

31471 Are you mailing these as "media" mail?

31471 Kevin,
Books in KDP Select have a 90 time frame unless you check the box to automatically renew that agreement. If you are trying to run a free promotion after your select participation expires, it won't work.

31471 CreateSpace was really good, but they have been closed and moved to the KDP platform, which for me is not nearly as friendly as CS was especially when it comes to help/customer service. I tried IngramSpark and could not get any help when I ran into problems, and I did have problems. I gave up working with them. I like D2D for broad distribution of ebooks and they are working on getting into POD (print) books that will perhaps be more readily accepted in bookstores. I'm waiting on them to get it figured out and then will give them a try for print books, too.

31471 Good point Ellen. And many of these can be found in the local library reference section.

31471 Miss M - you are correct - there are no GR people here unless it's on their own time. About the only place to get in touch with GR people is the help site.

31471 No idea. I only have one book at D2D with illustrations and they all were centered. I hope you'll be able to contact someone there and find out what needs to be done. In the past I've found them pretty helpful.

Trying a blog tour is going to be my next promo thing - that is after I get this "meet the author" wine tasting thing done.

31471 Sorry but it's not something we control. You might want to visit the GR help section.

Carole, I wonder how publishing with Ingram Sparks went for you. I had such a mess that I finally gave up. And it was for a book I already had in print through (at the time) CreateSpace. If it all went smooth, might be fine, but when I had issues I could not get any help.

31471 Hey Jack,
I too have used a similar spreadsheet to lay out the chapters in a book I'm working on. I also like the fact that it's easy to change something or rearrange chapters when the story I thought I was telling goes off the rails and takes off on its own. Impressive surge for you, keep it up.

31471 Or there is Goodreads Help which might be a better bet.

31471 John,
You'll need to go to the Librarians. I believe they are the only ones who can do things like that.

31471 Hey Jack and D help my fading memory - what is PPC?
Jul 27, 2019 03:07PM

31471 Looks like it. Good going.
Jul 26, 2019 07:51AM

31471 I like it. Simple and explicitly says who we are.
Do you remember how to change the group name?
Jul 25, 2019 07:07AM

31471 Jack,
I can't seem to find the same thing you did. I went to community, they groups but it keeps bringing up "my groups" and not all groups. When I tried to search for Authors Discussion in the groups search field it brings up pages and pages of groups. And I certainly don't know how the hierarchy is laid out within Goodreads. If you think we need to change the name to avoid confusion maybe we do. Any suggestions?

31471 Really? How'd you come across that?
