No problem. I hope you get your issue fixed.

Mahriana,
You need to got to the help link. There are no GR employees on this group and none of us have the ability to make changes like you need done. Best of luck.

As expected my only book signing event has been cancelled. A local library has a local authors event every April and it has been a fun and profitable (for me anyway) chance to meet readers and other authors. Sadly I knew this was coming. Maybe it’s time for another blog tour.

Okay. Heart rate returns to normal. Thanks.

Only 2 slots open? Are you kidding now that I quit working on my fantasy novel to write a story. Well, then, dang, I better email you my manuscript to hold a place even though I'm not 100% finished with it. And, hmm, my granddaughter is working on a story too. I better tell her to get a move on or she'll have done it for nothing and she'll never speak to me again.

You need to try the help link at the bottom of the page. There is no one monitoring this group who can help fix this.

Hi Faith, I hope you get lots of good stories. I wasn't going to do anything and then, darn it, I just started writing. Got a couple thousand words of crap that might turn into a story or might not but I'm blaming you for this. I was supposed to be working on my novel and instead, well, that's how it goes. The muse leads wherever it wants and the writer is just along for the ride.
John, good on you. I've got two daughters who both work at hospitals and for now I'm just praying they don't catch it. All the shortages of PPE hits home here.
Stay safe everyone.

How are other doing? Just curious. I hope you get a lot of good stories.

I forwarded the info.
I hope you get a decent response and some really great short stories. Makes me want to give it a try, but I have to hold myself back. This darn fantasy book 3 is killing me - it just seems to go on and on and I MUST finish it.

Faith, can I send this info to a friend who might want to give it a try?

I would love to do this but I am snowed under trying to finish my WIP. My mind is so overwhelmed right now I doubt I could come up with a decent idea for a story. Good luck with this.

Esther,
Great article. I'm staying home, mostly though taking daily walks in what parks are open and of course not getting to close to anyone else there. We've been trying to get creative about how to spend money that will help businesses but even that gets difficult since so many places are shut down. There's no way to know when things will start to swing back to something less stressful, so in the meantime I've been watching the Iditarod race, drinking lots of coffee and wine, and writing a little. Stay well.

I'm not sure how to answer that because the guy who did the first two covers lives several hundred miles away and yet that worked just fine - emails, etc. The fact that Lynn lives close is just more convenient but I'm not sure I could say that I collaborate better face to face. I do think it facilitates faster discussions because we can sit down and look at possibilities, make suggestions and or decisions on the spot, so to speak.

Thanks. I am not going to change it, I just hope more people see it the way you do. That cover and my second book, War Party, were designed by a wonderful professional designer, but he got too busy doing Sharknado stuff to handle any more of my books. All the rest were done by a woman who lives locally, has her own design company and that makes it convenient to get together to discuss things.

Another good video. I have a cover designer that I like a lot and plan to continue to use. This vid reminded me to be thankful for her work and appreciate her. Right now she's getting started on the cover for my next book and I'm sure there will be a lot of back and forth. You also reminded me to pay attention to the genre and what readers expect to see in a cover. My first novel, Shepherds, has what I think is a great cover but I've been told it makes a lot of people think it's a horror novel, which it isn't. If they read the blurb it becomes clear that the cover is about the genetically engineered shepherds, but if they get turned off before reading the blurb, well, the blurb doesn't help much.
Thanks.

Subscribed. Looking forward to what's coming.

It's a free course and anything that pulls me away from my writing has to provide value.
I'd appreciate your thoughts."Hi Joseph, I've watched a few of his videos and find there are things in them worth the time. However, much depends on where you are, what you already know, and where you want to go. What was worthwhile for me might not be for you.

Thanks for the video. I thought it was certainly worth watching and gave me some things to think about.

I haven't had much success with either BB or Amazon. I'm really doing a re-think of where my ad budget should get spent.

Hi Joseph,
BookBub Featured ads have been reported to be the best. Getting one is not easy. I have tried their managed ads and have not had much success though it hasn't cost much either.
Never heard of BookTrib or NetGalley.
I have seen positive reports on GR about Bublish but have not tried them yet.
