Katia pulled into the airport station and got out. Carlo bounded after her. "Wait...up..." He huffed.
Katia raised an eyebrow. "Wow you must have been REALLY playing playing out there."
"No!" Lorelei shook her head. "I mean, we can't just hideout here until they show up. We need to get a plan together. Plus, it's almost nightfall. We need to go anyway." I can't believe I spent a good saturday in May, the one day with NO RAIN, and only FOUR days before school gets out, tracking down my sister who has no common sense because she's DEAF. That's nice.
Katia looked back at Mother. "Mom! I'm going to go out with Carlo to the park."Mother nodded. "Will do, Katia. Torno presto."
Katia nodded. "Sì, mama." She walked over to the door and walked outside. "Carlo! We are going to the park."
Carlo looked up, his shaggy brown hair waving around. "Okay, Katia. One moment."
Katia headed to her car. In Italy, she had been 15 when she got her license. In America she would have just gotten it. She opened the door and hopped inside. "Hurry up, Carlo!"
Lorelei looked at Laurel. "We need to get out here. Should we hide out at my place?" She offered, wanting to leave. Right then and there.
Victoria jerked her hand free of Galrick. She narrowed her eyes. Her best friend's words echoed in her head."Hands are not meant for hurting. Hands are not meant for telling lies. They are meant for love. And love where it lies," Carlo had always told her.
Victoria sighed and looked up. It had been a poem that Carlo had made up when they were much younger. I can't think back now. I have to focus. She signed out slowly, 'I am not going with you.'

(( :D *dun dun dun* I know who caused the fire...))Lorelei sighed. She looked over at Laruel, at how much this girl reminded her of her old friend, Katia. She regreted that day. Will I every find as good a friend? She gazed straight again, out into the vast blue yonder of the building wall.
"I'm sorry, Kaita. I don't have a choice." Lorleie tried once again to convince her best friend that this should not be a problem.
"But can't I come with you?" Katia begged.
"No. Aunt Bindy went nuts. She's jailed. I don't have a choice. They'll be back for quiestioning of abuse. I wasn't abused. Maybe verbally, but...but it's for the sake of Vicky." Lorelei explained, putting her heart into discovering why Katia wouldn't let her go.
"I don't want to never see you again." Katia closed her eyes and took a deep breathe. "I just can't lose you..."
"I know." Lorlei took her best friend's hand. "Understand that Iwill see you again."
Katia sighed, "Fine, but don't get killed. That's my only request."
"Of course I'll stay alive." Lorelei let out a weak chuckle before dropping her grasp from her hand. She started walking away before turning around putting her hands to lips and removing them again, signing 'Thank you.'
Katia did the same before turning away.
The memory haunted Lorelei, lingering there like the smell of stale popcorn at the theatre. She gulped, wishing it would be soon she would see Katia.
"Not until we find your sister. I really don't want to close up shop until I know we are ALL pretty much safe," Trista explaiend.
Victoria sighed. She stepped in front of Galrick, which was into Kalrick but she didn't know.Mozart barked.
Victoria narrowed her eyes. 'Stop argueing! I want info.'
Lorelei looekd behind them, seeing shadows race behind the trees. Victoria...? She looekd beyond the shadows and things to see police cars, gearing them faintly, as they headed to a building. Her eyes widened. VIctoria!
Victoria cocked her head. Only catching bits and pieces of the conversing pair. She bit her lip. She looked at Galrick and signed, 'What is going on?"
Victoria narrowed her eyes. 'I may be deaf and not old enough to understand half of the things you do, but I am NOT a burden.'
Lorelei tugged her hand free of Laurel's grasp. She followed the strange or maybe deranged girl to her 'hideaway'. Lorelei pushed the thought of Laurel's possible craziness aside. "Where to?"
Mozart sat back and barked once. He looked at Victoria. Do you REALLY trust her?Victoria nodded. She looked at Shana. 'Why can't you just accept my apology?'
Lorelei nodded. She showed Laurel the bluebonnet she had conjured up earlier from her mystical, abnormal power. She handed it to Laurel.
Victoria tilted her head to one side. She quickly corrected herself. She shook her head. I'm sorry! I'm really really sorry! What is wrong?Mozart glared at Shana. He growled, recognizing her not-so-nice tone.
Victoria finally realized what Shana had said. She signed back, 'Why?'
Victoria hun her head, not saying anything. I'm sorry, kay? She wished she could speak, could explain her reasonings to this girl, but alas it was impossible. She finally signed, 'I'm sorry.'
Lorelei raised an eyebrow briefly to the way Laurel replied, but shrugged it off. She twisted her hand around and opened it, a buttercup appearing. She pulled her hand away, letting the soft-petaled yellow flower fall a ways before catching it and offering it to Laurel.
