3113 Boring bastards.
3113 So you think Ronald Reagan should have stayed the fuck out of politics? What happened to your little enclave of people who worship him and think he was the best President ever?

The Dixie Chicks, Paris Hilton, Gweneth Paltro and Jane Fonda are performers. It is the WRITER AND CREATOR of BSG who is being asked to speak at the UN. Apparently you think that writers are useless as well. I wonder if your wife knows this.

This is the first time I have really thought that you are incredibly narrow minded and wrong, Nick.

3113 pretty sure that's what S&M is for, isn't it?

3113 it is also called mash in Ireland. It can be made with any number of ingredients. For Samhain they make a traditional Nine Ingredient Mash that uses sweet potatoes and carrots. It's delicious.
3113 Wow, Nick. I didn't realize you had such a low opinion of BSG. Paris Hilton?? Why on gods earth would you equate BSG with her?

Theatre IS art, you cretin. BSG is theatre of the screen. Film is as legitimate of an art form as anything found in museums, theatres, opera houses, symphony halls, and libraries. It is story telling. Battlestar happens to be story telling of the most exquisite, dealing with the intricacies of the human condition with greater alacrity than most literature. So... shove your lame and inadequate commentary about it up your arse, sir.
3113 don't you think that art can give us clues as to how to live better lives as humans, Nick? Why not be open to trying any angle in understanding the human condition?

3113 I love that movie Constantine. It's one of those I expected to hate but now I've watched it like 10 times and it's become a bit of a cult film for me. Tilda Swinton is definitely one reason for that. I just adore her. Freak of nature.

3113 ha ha ha ha.... well, yes, there's that.
3113 YES!!!! I would sacrifice a small mammal for a couple more seasons of BSG. But I just watched the Last Frakkin Special last night and they all were quoted as saying the last episode is the "logical conclusion" so it's definitely the end. I'm thinking that means everyone dies!!! Except Gaius Baltar. Who comes to earth and is mistaken for the Messiah.

3113 Saint Patrick (est. AD 387 - AD 461)(Naomh Pádraig), said to have been born Maewyn Succat, was a Roman Britain-born Christian missionary and is the patron saint of Ireland along with Brigid of Kildare and Columba.

"The wearing of the green" means to wear a shamrock on one's clothing. St. Patrick used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pre-Christian Irish.

The diminutive version of the Irish word for "clover" ("seamair") is "seamróg", which was anglicised as "shamrock". The shamrock was traditionally used for its medical properties.

Irish Society of Boston organized what was the first Saint Patrick's Day Parade in the colonies on 17 March 1737. The first celebration of Saint Patrick's Day in New York City was held at the Crown and Thistle Tavern in 1756, and New York's first Saint Patrick's Day Parade was held on 17 March 1762 by Irish soldiers in the British Army.

The emphasis on drinking alcohol on St. Patrick’s Day may be related to the fact that the pagan Roman festival of the Bacchanalia, sacred to Bacchus, the Roman god of wine was celebrated on March 15 and 16.

3113 I think the clown chic is the most frightening fashion choice I've seen yet. Love the Kermit jacket. Oh to be on so much crack.
