I finally understood what he was on about after my fourth read of "Brief History". But the first three times it definitely started making my brain hurt about half way through. It was that goddamn arrow of time.

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. yer funny.

Somehow I never thought a perfect double feature included 5th Element and Mame. How about 5th Element and... Strange Days... or Tron... or Zardoz... or Tank Girl... or Resident Evil.... or Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow... or Six String Samurai.
At least something in the sci fi genre, yes?

good lord, just reading that combination make me feel nauseous.

Hey Sarah, have a great time in NYC!! I'm jealous you are actually staying at the Chelsea Hotel!!!

Thanks Bunny love!! And to you as well. Spring has exploded here today, right on time. If I could do something about this bored, restless feeling it would be a good thing. Somehow I don't think seducing the local Russell Crowe look-alike who owns the wine shop in town and is probably a raging alcoholic is a good solution to boredom. Probably taking a hike would be a better idea.
Merrie Ostara!

Oh look, Bunny Watson is living in the Chelsea Hotel. :::snaps photos:::

They don't call me 'Char' for nothing. ::::lights BunWat's cigarillo:::: ::::sets her periodicals aflame by accident:::::

::::::set his hair on fire with her hot flash::::::

:::glares at him::::: ::::::flames shoot out of her nostrils:::::

Richard, I hope that beating off a bull terrier with a set of china story is in one of your books. That's priceless.
Here are some highlights from my spotty career:
• hotel maid (people who smoke cigars in hotels should be shot)
• phone bank operator for anti-nuke organization (didn't pay much)
• flower hustler on street corner in financial district in San Francisco, in the winter (my boss didn't speak much english and thought I was stupid because I couldn't understand anything he said)
• pump jockey at a Union 76 station (the only girl who worked there, I always came home smelling like gas)
• vaudeville actress ($25 per week plus tips... I didn't eat much during that time)
• screamer at a Halloween theme park (I would also faint)
• victim during an earthquake emergency at hospitals
• wine de-labler (the most boring job in the universe)
• house painting prepper (lasted about one week)
• laundry wench
• pool painter
• record producer
• pin up photographer
• set builder/painter
• wedding musician
• fashion designer
It's hard to think of things I haven't tried at this point. I'm so confused.

Sorry if I crawled all up your tail pipe for no good reason. I'm on day four of this goddamn hot flash. I might be a tad cranky.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. oh man, that is one of my favorite stories ever!

Sherri that was awesome geekery.

obviously you know nothing about the writers and creators of BSG. you're completely talking out of your ass. but whatever, I think you're wrong, we disagree. I do have strong feeling and opinions about this. I just think you're being reactionary. I guess I just have come to expect more thought from you. I'm disappointed in your inability to actually look at this out of context from your other biases. My bad. I'm excited for the creators of BSG and I think it shows creative thinking on the part of the UN. You wanna be all negative and weird about it that's your problem.

I don't know Bun. I have had my opinions deconstructed and reassembled so many times I can't even count at this point. I see it as a process, and continue to leave the door open to further change. I always leave room for being wrong at some point. Or at least in someone else also being right. But most people don't seem to operate that way. Most people cling to their biases as if they would literally drown if they let go.

the alien opera singer got me to start listening to opera. if opera was like that I would be a season ticket subscriber.

Manson is so creepy, it's hard to look away.

I have seen both those films at least 10 times each. 5th Element has become one of those cult classics for me. LeeLoo is insanely hot. In fact, I will watch a Mila Jovavich film even if it looks terrible. Because I always just pretend LeeLoo is in an AU. : )
DeNiro is awesome in Brazil. That film is so dark... but not as dark as another Gilliam film "Tidewater". Whatever you do, don't watch that movie. You will be scarred for life. Oh for brain bleach.
