I love Will Robie from Baldacci. Have you read his books yet?
Another favorite is Joe Pike from Robert Crais.
SecondWorld has a great action hero as well.

That's too bad. :(

I love this book. It's not for everyone, but I sure do love it!

This is all new for me and I'm not really sure how it all works, but I know I love this callenge! The categories are great!"
Thanks! Glad you like it!

Okay. Good to know. I will have to catch it on the rebound. I'm having to pick and choose which shows I follow due to limited time and DVR space.

As usual, I will try for all of them... :)"
You're welcome. Thanks for participating in the challenge.

DHASG October Challenge
Introduction:
October is here. Fall is sinking in finally. School is going strong, and we're thinking about getting our cool weather clothes out.
Let's hope we can keep our reading going strong this month!
Rules:
1. Books must be read between the 1st and 31st of October.
2. A book can only be used once in the challenge.
3. Any DHASG member can participate in the challenge.
4. Enjoy the month of October and your reading.
Levels:
1. Jack O' Lantern: Read 9-10 books.
2. Oktoberfest: Read 5-8 books.
3. Trick or Treat: Read 3-4 books.
Categories:
1. Perfect Ten: Since October is the 10th month, read a book that represents the number ten: Ten letter title, author's name has ten letters, the lead character is a 10/10. You name it. Let us know what you choose.
2. Spooky!: Halloween is the biggest holiday in October. It's the day when we enjoy the spooky things, such as ghost stories and creatures that go bump in the night. Read a book that is spooky, scary, or horrific.
3. Come and Take It!: October 6th celebrates the spirit of being brave enough to go after what you want. Read a book that celebrates that--a lead character who comes and takes it, or grab a day for yourself and read a book you really want to read. Let us know what you choose.
4. Techie Appreciation Day: October 3rd celebrates those technologically gifted folks who fix things that we rely heavily on but don't have a clue how they work. Read a book with such a heroic person or a book that represents being a techie in some way.
5. Pick One!: Read a book that represents one of the five following holidays in October: Columbus Day, Bald and Free Day, No Beard Day, Dictionary Day, or Wear Something Gaudy Day.
6. Dress You Up!: Since some of us like to dress up for the Halloween holiday as someone we're not, read a book where a character spends a significant part of the book in disguise.
7. Love in the Office: To celebrate Boss Day on October 16th, read a book where a lead character falls in love with the boss (boss can be of either sex).
8. Hermit Day: October 29th celebrates the hermit in all of us. How about you take a day to yourself and read whatever book you want, or you can read a book with a character who has hermit tendencies.
9. Increase Your Psychic Powers Day: Did you ever try to move things with your mind? Well, how about you develop your psychic powers by reading a book with a character who does have psychic abilities to celebrate this holiday on October 31st. You could also read a book with characters who might as well be psychic, because they are so insightful and perceptive.
10. Dealing With Frustrations: For National Frustrations Day, read a book with leads who deal with a lot of issues and frustrations in their lives, but come out on top in the end. Conversely, you could choose a book with a lead who chooses a less than constructive way of dealing with their frustrations.
