Can you friggin' believe dis? Two separate guys! What are ..."I had the same reaction when buying both their books. For a second -thought I was going crazy on amazon. :)

Three Days of the Condor-???????

Ha... Pretty good for a smart girl who thinks shes Mossad. :)

I'm sure you have these suggestions- best I could do today. Mayaguez Incident, Cambodia- genocide "Killing Fields"

Why waste your time on a post- you may be creating new recognition; breeding more attention. Listing them under "Wall of Shame" speaks volumes. xo

Very charming. :) Personally, I prefer men w/ a gun.

Ok- here's the worst so far...... "Operation All About Me" Really?? I believe that covers your goofy vested-interest line. And yes, its a women's spy book. And yes again, I stopped reading it. If it were not on a kindle, I would have thrown it across the room, which also covers when to stop reading a book. :)

David- I believe Felix's response was meant for me- not you. I wrote to you I had read all of Lecarres books. I am curious to understand what you meant by disjointed prose style. I am a younger reader as Felix knows, and maybe not savvy enough yet to be able to compare the differences. I did not intepret Felix's response as condescending. I received it as a valuable informational tool for comparison for future reads. Think he deserves a pass on that-dont you?

I meant disjointed. Sorry.

David- Did you find his prose style the same in all his books?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading all of LeCarre's novels b/c I am quite familiar with his theme. He does write with psychological character insight; in which you recognize why there is a specific action and re-action on current realistic issues. Steven King writes sheer horror- very creative but when your finished, there are no lingering thoughts, other than becoming agoraphobic. :) Felix if I could write my thoughts hlf as well as you, I would be a great author, not just an avid reader.

Always looking for a new film to see. I'm guessing by the title of "Fires on the Plain" the crux if this is BBQ humans for survival? Cant deal with cannibalism, so that's a will not see film.

Felix- You are correct on your opinion of "The Burmese Harp" Loved it. Who is Adam Sandler again?? :)

I Stan- count me in- He is my favorite. I brought him to our community for our book festival lunch. Instead of Daniel simply speaking to an audience from a podium, we did it interview style. In doing so, we did all the research etc for questions re all his novels except his last three. 400 people attended.
