280669 Sarah Kuhn's Heroine trilogy would make a great on-screen superhero adaptation. (More on that here: http://bit.ly/2LVEcps)

If Heroine Complex, Heroine Worship, and Heroine's Journey were to be adapted, who would you like to see cast in the main roles? Past that, who would you like to see direct and write it?

280669 What did you think of the fun, danger, fierce female friendships, and superhero costumes in Heroine's Journey? How did it compare to the first two books in the series, if you've read them? Are you as devastated as we are that this trilogy has seemingly come to an end? Who was your favorite character(s) in this world?

Let us know below!

She is so good! I was lucky enough to moderate a panel she was on at BookCon and she was such an eloquent joy. Not all writers are able to articulate as well in person as they are on the page (which I can relate to), but she had so many badass, insightful things to say about including queer representation in her books which was what the panel was about.

280669 Bethany wrote: "I really enjoyed this book because of the nonstop action. It reminded me of every episode of BSG in the sense that there was never a moment to catch your breath, every time you think the characters..."

I love the BSG comparison, Bethany! Also, I agree with your assessment of the romance. That was the weakest part of the book for me and the least interesting relationship. I am excited to see how Tomi Adeyemi develops as a writer over the course of this series and beyond, however!

280669 What did you think of Brief Cases? What was your favorite story? Here's a snippet from our review of the book:

"The best story in the collection is saved for last—and one of the things that makes it so delightful is that it's structured from the points-of-view of three different characters, discussing the events of the same day. Harry, his ten-year-old daughter, Maggie, and Foo Dog Mouse each narrate their unique conflicts of the day, each challenge tailored directly to the characters."

280669 SHIP IT is a book that has multiple entry points when it comes to your familiarity with fandom. While Claire lives and breathes fandom, Forest knows nothing about it prior to the start of the novel.

Where do you fall on the fandom familiarity spectrum? Is this your first time reading a book that has fandom as a subject?

"To make art in fandom is to follow your passion at the risk of never being taken seriously. I've written dozens of fics—put them together and you'd have several novels—but who knows what a college admissions officer will think of that as a pastime. Where does 12,000 Tumblr followers rate in relation to a spot in the National Honor Society in their minds? Every week I get anonymous messages in my inbox telling me I should write a real book. Well, haven't I already?"

280669 EW interviewed Tomi Adeyemi to chat about all things Children of Blood and Bone and cozy slippers. The site asks the question "Is Tomi Adeyemi the next J.K. Rowling?" which seems like an unnecessarily heavy question, but also points to how much the publishing industry is betting on this series.

280669 We talked to the lovely Elan Mastai about writing ALL OUR WRONG TODAYS, adapting it into a screenplay, and what he looks for in a time travel story. Here's an excerpt:

"What I do know, from my personal life as much as anything else, is that big things, seemingly permanent things, can change so much quicker than you’d ever believe. I’ve felt it in my own life: one day you’re living in a world that makes sense and the next day you can feel like you’ve woken up in a whole other world, one with very different rules and very different expectations. I felt like that the morning after my mom died. I also felt like that the morning after my daughter was born. Change can feel like a tidal wave. Sometimes it’s one that drowns you and sometimes, if you’re lucky, it’s one that lifts you up."

280669 J'aime wrote: "I think readers enjoy the idea of people out of place in time. My favorite time travel stories are those where a modern person travels to a more distant time, like in Outlander. A person who "knows..."

Have you watched the Classic Doctor Who episode ("The War Games") that inspired the character of Jamie in Outlander? It's a pretty interesting pop culture connection.
