luckily i've been on a good run, but 'the pie at night' got postponed to make room for a vine pick-up of A Little Devil in America: In Praise of Black Performance by hanif abdurraqib, the title being self explanatory, has me impressed by his deft, poetic prose style. only about 20 pages in, this looks like a stoatir of a read, and it seems to naturally follow the g.s.heron books.

val is correctimundo! wouldn't matter if fans were in attendance at these games or not, the money from television would have been astronomical - the fact that all 6 english teams have pulled out now is recognition of the fact that it doesn't pay to **** with the supporters without consultation! the withdrawal of season ticket sales would have hurt these clubs.
arsenal, so far, are the only club to have apologised to supporters.

seems the fans of the english teams are furious, and having the effect of shaking the clubs into some form of reality - man city and chelsea have already reversed their decisions and pulled out of the breakaway league. the threat of being banned from regular competion also a factor.
i mean, 12 teams, no relegation, what's the point? i heard someone say today (can't remember who) 'if success is guaranteed, it's not sport!', and that's a fact. the whole thing is fuelled by money and greed for money, and if i were a fan of any of the teams involved (yeah, i know, what chance killie? - rangers and celtic, whether they would have pledged involvement or not, will be pissed off at not having been asked!), i would withdraw my support!

nah, blastro, you're not in any doghouse! a combination of it being very quiet the last few days, the goodreads notification indicator being away to buggery (well, mine's is anyhoo!) and the fact that i don't pay attention to much t.v. other than 'this morning' and 'modern family' these days are all contributing factors.

well, true my neighbour thought 'w.t.f., he's no doin' any harm' and only hunted him when he couldn't sleep for his raking.

actually, he phoned the number to say that he didn't have the reels but had another couple of rods he was welcome to. raker duly turned up to receive them - my neighbour is a keen angler and asked where he fished - 'up at scott ellis' was the reply. even i know the only fish you'll catch up there are bricks, neighbour said it was obvious they would be sold to feed his (what appeared to be) habit.

neighbours hired a skip for clearing out purposes and this was placed directly in front of house. the other morning neighbour asked if we'd heard his visitor (we hadn't) raking thru' the skip at 4 am. deciding he wasn't doing any harm neighbour filmed him and returned to his bed, but couldn't sleep - asked the raker to pack it in, received an apology, before the raker gathered up his booty and left.
next day, neighbour showed me the LETTER that was posted thru' his door, from the raker who again apologised, thanked him for not calling the police, and asked if he could have the reels for the discarded fishing rods taken from skip! name and phone number included!
is it balls or is it desperation? no idea!

hit the 50 orders threshold yesterday with my first cassette sale - bowwowwow's 'c30 c60 c90 go' - acknowledged to be the first commercially available cassingle.........................still no women!
