Hi, Esha! Welcome to the Bee's Bookshelf. I'm so glad we have another fan of Rick Riordan—I love his books! Have you read the Magnus Chase series yet?

Lol, I totally understand. That's like asking me which Harry Potter book I like best. (Please don't ask me, I can never decide!)

Welcome to our group, Gail! Wow—I'm so impressed by your love of numbers and your dedication to your education. I also love to cook, and recently I've gotten more into baking, as well. Do you have any favorite recipes that you know by heart?

Hey, Zoe! Welcome to the Bee's Bookshelf! The Selection Series is so good! America is such a relatable character, and I'm so happy that Kiera Cass decided to extend the original trilogy by two books. Did you like the America-centered books better or the Eadlyn-focused ones?

That's a great thought, Olivia! I've been wondering if the identity of the narrator will be revealed in the second book. I'm on board to read it if you guys are!

225619 We'll use this thread to post questions about Hook's Revenge as well as to share our reactions/thoughts/favorite moments, etc.

Here's my first question: Who do you think the narrator is, and why do they know so much about Jocelyn and Captain Hook? (I'm dying to know what you guys think!)

I just can't get enough of Leigh Bardugo. She's coming out with a new collection of short stories that take place in the Grishaverse on September 26th and I can't wait!

Hi, Elizabeth- we're so happy you've joined us! Thank you for being willing to share so much about yourself with us. Please don't feel like you're oversharing; we love learning about all of our book club friends! That is so cool that you know so many Greek, Roman, and Norse gods. I've always been fascinated with mythology and I love reading Rick Riordan's books. Have you read anything by him?

Hi, Kim! Welcome to the club! It sounds like you and our other mod, Tyler, have a lot in common (she's from Georgia, too!). She and I both love, love, love Jane Austen. Do you have a favorite film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice?

Since it sounds like we have some fans of Stewart's in this group, maybe The Secret Keepers would be a good book for all of us to read together one month. Thanks for getting the conversation started, Calvin!

225619 Olivia wrote: "I looked it up, and that book sounds really interesting. How is it age-appropriate-wise?"

In terms of content, we would probably recommend Steelheart for 7th grade readers and up. It's actually one of the Bee's source books for this year's school-level spelling list, meaning that some of the 8th grade words will be taken directly from Steelheart.

As far as The Rithmatist though, I'm unsure because I haven't read it. Maybe Sydney can tell us!

I've heard such great things about The Rithmatist and I love some of the other things I've read by Brandon Sanderson, so we'll definitely have to check this one out. Thanks for the recommendation, Sydney! Have you read Steelheart?

Welcome, Olivia! I've never read the Dreamhouse Kings series, but I just looked them up and they sound amazing. Definitely going to add them to my to-read shelf—thanks for the recommendation!

225619 I'll start with my own example:

1. Molly D.
2. I live in Ohio.
3. My favorite books are Harry Potter, which I'm currently re-reading for about the hundredth time.
4. My favorite food is ice cream, especially if it's chocolate chip cookie dough.
