21857 Sounds good to me. So the second book in a series would work well for that...

I wasn't sure about that one, but then I saw it on a web page listing oxymoron titles, so I guess it counts :)"

I wonder if it was the same place I found it!!

21857 One of the reasons I joined this group was the challenges. I am one of those quick readers who is willing to read a wide variety, yet I still don't sign up for every challenge. I enjoy the challenges which expand your literary universe, like Barbara mentioned. I like discussing books, but most of my friends don't read, or at least, not as much as me, so I turn online for discussions!

21857 Oxymorons: Falling Sideways?

21857 Cats are cool and I do love my furry engine lots, even if he isn't your typical cat. He plays with the dogs (my Labbie & landlord's Swiss Shepherd) as if he is also a big dog, climbs the windows like a real monkey and hardly ever stops talking. Granted, he is a Siamese which is often considered to be more like a dog in some ways.

I have two categories for favourite animals, pet or domesticated (where I choose Labbie, Siamese, Ball Python and possibly Sun Conuer) and wild animals (which include otters, sharks, raptors, reptiles and BATS!!)

Meercats are also fun. They are one of the species we might get in the Snake Park. I still want otters instead, but we don't really have enough space and Cape Clawless are all descended from Houdini!

21857 I suspected it wouldn't count, but it doesn't hurt to ask!

21857 Do you think Marcelo in the Real World could work for the insanity one (9)?
Jun 07, 2012 06:54AM

21857 Yes, extinct animals are allowed!

Lu, what book has lots of alligators in it? I need to read that...

I have lots of favorite species, but my best are otters. I have however read all books I know of with them in, so am going for another favorite which is raptors (choosing an owl for this) unless I go for Jaws as sharks are awesome. I also love beach bugs, but no one really writes about them... Reptiles also feature on favorite list (or else I would hate my job!) I don't however do over-rated marine mammals...
