21757 30.2 Katrisa's Task: Wrapped in Plastic

This year the world lost iconic director David Lynch. This prompted me to revisit Twin Peaks. It has been fun to dive back into that world and this task is based on that show. This is a 2 book task.
Please choose two different options and read a book from each. No children’s (or related MPG) or graphic novels/comics allowed.
Required:State the options

Option 1 - “The Owls are not what they seem.”
As the quote indicates, the owls in Twin Peaks are imbued with mystery. Are they the eyes of the Black Lodge? Souls? Aliens? Harbingers?
Read a book with the letters OWL found intact AND imbedded in a word in the title/subtitle. So just the word owl/s will not work but hOWLing, bOWL or knOWLedge would (the point being that OWL is “hidden” in the word).

Option 2 - The Bookhouse Boys
The Bookhouse Boys are a citizen group dedicated to defending Twin Peaks from the Evil that lurks around the town (and bust some drug dealers as well). The Twin Peaks police department are all members and Special Agent Dale Cooper is made an honorary member. Their symbol is a pine tree and a sword. Read a book with one or more conifer trees or a sword on the cover (the hilt of the sword must be visible. No knives or daggers).
EX: The Beauty of Darkness (The Remnant Chronicles, #3) by Mary E. Pearson Soulbound (Legacy of Tril, #1) by Heather Brewer Hounded (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #1) by Kevin Hearne Drink Deep (Chicagoland Vampires, #5) by Chloe Neill
Required: Post cover

Option 3 - The Black Lodge and White Lodge
The good vs. evil energies in Twin Peaks are symbolized by the Black Lodge and the White Lodge. Read a book from the first 20 pages of this
Good Vs Evil

Required: state the page

Option 4 - BOB
Bob is an evil spirit who inhabits hosts and commits terrible acts in order to harvest pain and fear and appears as a long-haired vagrant. Read a book from this list of books about
Demonic Possession
Required: state the page

Option 5 - Fire Walk with Me
The words “Fire walk with me” are found scrawled in blood near where Laura Palmer was murdered. The words are part of a poem first uttered by Mike in the pilot episode that is associated with the Black Lodge.
"Through the darkness of future past,
The magician longs to see.
One chants out between two worlds.
Fire walk with me."
Read a book with a word of at least four letters from the poem in the title (excluding WITH). Plurals/possessives are ok or you can drop the s from a word in the poem (i.e. you can use world or chant).
Required: State the word

So sorry this is late guys, this somehow fell through the cracks, so excited to see what y'all come up with!

21757 This is the thread for the logo design contest. Each season, group members will have the opportunity to design a new logo that will represent the group during the duration of the following challenge. You may submit a masthead banner design to accompany your logo.

Pictures and anything used to create the logo should be original material (i.e. no copyrighted images, including AI generated art).

Images must be between 1KB and 6MB and of type: jpg/jpeg/gif/png/tiff/tif
Logos are best in square or slightly rectangular (either vertical or horizontal) shapes. Some images may be cropped by GR.
A working size would be approximately 340px X 340px.
Mastheads are 3:1 or 970px wide by 245px high
On the group's homepage the logo overlaps the masthead at the lower left.

You can post a picture directly in this thread, provide a link to the image or send one of the moderators a message for help. The logo should reflect in some way the season, bonus theme or purpose of the group.

The Summer 2025 bonus theme is: National Parks

This thread is open for submissions and it will close at Midnight EST on May 25th, 2025 - voting will start the next day and run until the end of the GR day on May 30th. The winning submission will replace the current logo on June 1st. Good luck to everyone!
