Wow!.....Glad we have another one....So what's our next move?

Maybe we should just continue our normal discussions for now in the group ....I don't think we should have a group read any time soon......it will be a failure as it turns out !!!! ....

Ok Thank you both of you and i appreciate you both taking part in the Group read , But this is turning out to be a failure ..........Again!!!....i thought we will have more active readers...But ..i don't get it

And if you have want to have fun in Astronomy , there is a software or you can call it a game ...It's called UNIVERSE SANDBOX , It's an awesome game for curious minds ..>We can do one hell of stuff on it ........For example , we can have solar system and we can place a Black hole anywhere you wish in it , and see what happens , and how planets get out of orbit and you can do many more stuff in it .....

And there is an official software from NASA , Its called Nasa's eyes , its kind of a Database it contains information about all stars and all new stars which Nasa's Telescope discover and it can show it simulations of Curiosity rover's landing of mars and many many more features..Try it out Ven

Sure Ven , There is a software and an app called Stellarium , it is the ultimate star gazing weapon , it is free and its amazing

Me too , i was in similar situation ,and Veronika , i did take some pictures , but unfortunately they are not very good , i didnt have a camera worthy of taking a picture of Beautiful Red Lunar Eclipse , you can still get images on the internet though ,

Even the sky was soo clear today , and speaking of the RED MOON , as i first saw it , i couldnt believe my eyes , it was like almost the entire planet of Mars replacing the moon......and when i saw the sky as a whole with the red moon , i felt like i am looking at an entirely different sky , not our usual earth sky .......i am feeling very lucky to be living in this era ..........nature at its best !

I saw it , i saw the entire thing , and it was truly a mesmerizing , once in a life time experience ...Damm , that was beautiful , especially that red moon though , bought tears in my eyes ........

The Lunar eclipse on January-31!!!! , we will witness the first total lunar eclipse of 2018 . This celestial event can be seen for many countries including Australia , Russia , India , China and Thailand .The moon will be 7% closer to earth , and a lot brighter. The most exciting thing is , after 150 years , a blue moon , a blood moon and super moon are set to occur on the same time.....If you are in a place where you can watch it , i suggest you should , because it's a once in a lifetime experience............you may never see it again!

Its just a basic Geometrical idea , which applied on wide scale can calculate Huge distances with pretty good accuracy .
I say , you do a little experiment right now . Just hold your thumb finger straight with your other finger wrapped in(like thumbs up position) and hold it between your eyes right in front. , now close one of your eyes and see the thumb with the other and do the same with your other eye , Do you see the apparent change in the position of your thumb? , This change becomes very very tiny as the distance between thumb and your face increases .
And now imagine your thumb a Distant Star and your eyes as the entire earth .Now when we see the same star from two opposite sides of the sun , there is apparent change in the position of stars , which only very sensitive instruments can detect and to this , we apply a little Geometry and there you go we can calculate the distance of that star from our solar system with very good accuracy.

Yes . I thought about it too . But i think it is a different branch which they call Astro biology or Cosmobiology or something , which deals about those kind of things .. But we can sure share her knowledge about Molecular Biology , its an exciting field too
