I have some audio tapes that still survive two failed marriages, but most of the material was transcribed and saved to floppy discs years ago. I used a lot of it for university work as a student for research. Luckily I have a disc reader that allows me to transfer that data to my laptop and external HD, and most is on CDs.

I interviewed Misch a couple of times. His opinion is one of 70+ interview segments with others who knew Hitler and his chief lieutenants, that will go into our future book, Hitler's Inner Circle.

In my book The Star of Africa, I mention Ciano, since Hans Joachim Marseille apparently defiled his niece I believe it was. FYI, I own a piece of Ciano's office furniture, a lovely green marble top end desk.

My friends Kurt Schulze and Walter Schuck were fighter pilots in JG-5 assigned under Major Heinrich Ehrler, covering the Tirpitz in the fjord. Ehrler was on leave when the order to scarmble as the ship was being attacked, and he was made the scapegoat when it sank. Schulze and Schuck both said that it was a travesty.

Rick, go by the Akllied cemetery, very impressive, and you will notice that there are no French graves. That speaks volumes.

Lemay had a very logical reason for his planning of the attacks against Japan, stemming from his experience over Germany. He was very interesting, and blunt. See his comments in my books Night Fighters and The Me-262 Stormbird, along with Doolittle and others involved.
