Two excellent purchases! I am yet to read my copy of "Countdown To D-Day: The German Perspective: The German High Command in Occupied France, 1944", but by all accounts, it is supposed to be a great read.

I read Martin Gilbert's book on the Holocaust in 1986. It was the first book that I had read on the subject and one of the best.
